謂之曰、希西家云、今乃急難譴責羞辱之日、子臨產、而無力出之、

民中之傑、哀號於外、求成之使、哭泣悲傷、

耶和華曰、我於以色列中、將行一事、使凡聽之者、兩耳必震、

日月星辰、將有異兆、在地諸國困苦顚連、海波漰湃故也、人因危懼、並虞將臨於世之事而昏絕、天象震動故也、

我但以理昏迷、疾病數日、後乃起理王事、我駭詫此異象、無人明其意焉、

故以色列之上帝耶和華云、我必降禍於耶路撒冷及猶大、使凡聞之者、兩耳必震、

其言至此而竟、我但以理中懷煩擾、容色改變、惟存此事於心、

曰、猶大王及耶路撒冷居民歟、宜聽耶和華言、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我將降災於斯土、凡聞之者、其耳必震、

希勒家子家宰以利亞敬、與繕寫舍伯那、及亞薩子史官約亞、自裂其衣、詣希西家、以拉伯沙基言告之、

耶和華之僕曰主耶和華賜我以受教者之舌、能以言輔委靡之人、彼旦旦啟迪我耳、使聽其教、如弟子然、

何細亞九年、亞述王取撒瑪利亞、徙以色列人至亞述、置於哈臘與歌散之哈博河濱、及瑪代諸邑、

耶和華使迦勒底軍、亞蘭軍、摩押軍、及亞捫族軍攻之、侵猶大欲滅之、如耶和華藉其僕眾先知所言、

亞述為我震怒之梃、其手所持、乃我忿恚之杖、我遣之攻褻慢之邦、令其擊我所恚之民、虜之掠之、且蹂躪之、若街衢之泥塗、
