爾曹自謂與死亡結約、與陰府訂盟、天降大雨、行潦汎濫、必不及於斯土、我惟誑詞是恃、而適以自欺。

然我耶和華云、此謀必不成、

所謀不成、所命不立、蓋上帝實左右我、

以法蓮建都山巔、望之若冠花冠、四周有谷、土壤膏腴、民人沉湎於酒、心志驕奢、不知浮榮易悴、竟遭蹂躪、亦如夏之無花果、人一見之、則摘而食焉。

崇高之臺榭、鞏固之城垣、

泛濫猶大國、幾將滅頂、左翼右翼之兵、遍於以馬內利四境。

萬有之主耶和華曰、降災之日伊邇、必爇若爐、驕侈之輩、作惡之流、有若蒭蕘、屆期必燬之、使其根株、靡有孑遺、萬有之主耶和華曰、凡寅畏我名者、將見義主、興若旭日、輝光激射、有若矯翼、煦育萬物、踴躍有如肥犢、定期既屆、爾將蹂躪、惡徒踐於足下有若泥沙、

耶和華曰、大河自北至、勢若洪濤、泛濫斯土、諸邑民人、盡遭淹沒、號呼哭泣不已。

昔我使我僕先知傅命、言必降災、斯災已及爾祖、彼遂悛悔、自謂萬有之主耶和華所立之旨、欲降以災、罰我所為、今及我躬矣、

乃王子背巴比倫王約、遣使至埃及、欲其率軍馬以至、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、爽約之人、豈能獲救。

末期既屆。南王將擊斯國之王、北王亦率其車馬、駕其艘舶、若風驟至、如水泛濫、擾亂其邦、

蛇吐水成渠淹婦之後、意欲溺之、

其得脫於鋒刃、自埃及復歸猶大者、寥寥無幾、厥後猶大遺民、欲往居埃及者必知所應、何人之言、彼與抑我與。
