爰有敵人、若海中之鱷魚、其體雄偉、其行迅速、盤曲若蛇、當斯時也、耶和華將持巨刃、堅利無儔、以剪斯敵。

當是日主將以堅利巨刃、殺利未雅坦急趨之蛇、殺利未雅坦盤曲之蛇、並殺海中之龍、

In that day, the Lord will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.

At that time the Lord will punish Leviathan with his sword. His great, powerful and deadly sword will punish the serpent that glides through the sea. He will kill that twisting sea monster.

In that day the Lord will take his terrible, swift sword and punish Leviathan, the swiftly moving serpent, the coiling, writhing serpent. He will kill the dragon of the sea.

On that day the LORD with his relentless, large, strong sword will bring judgment on Leviathan, the fleeing serpent— Leviathan, the twisting serpent. He will slay the monster that is in the sea.

On that day the Lord will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

In that day Jehovah with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.

On that day the Lord with His harsh, great, and strong sword, will bring judgment on Leviathan, the fleeing serpent— Leviathan, the twisting serpent. He will slay the monster that is in the sea.

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that[ is] in the sea.

At that time the LORD will punish with his destructive, great, and powerful sword Leviathan the fast-moving serpent, Leviathan the squirming serpent; he will kill the sea monster.

In that day, Yahweh with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.

For by fire will the Lord enter into judgment, and by his sword, with all flesh; and those slain by the Lord shall be many.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the dragon?

speak, and say, Thus says the Lord God:“ Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his streams, that says,‘ My Nile is my own; I made it for myself.’

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems.His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it.She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne,and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back,but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world— he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,“ Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood.But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth.Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.

There go the ships, and Leviathan, which you formed to play in it.

By his wind the heavens were made fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

You divided the sea by your might; you broke the heads of the sea monsters on the waters.You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.

And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the Lord.

Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.

For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it, and will no more cover its slain.

Let those curse it who curse the day, who are ready to rouse up Leviathan.

Then Job answered and said:“ No doubt you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?I am a laughingstock to my friends; I, who called to God and he answered me, a just and blameless man, am a laughingstock.In the thought of one who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; it is ready for those whose feet slip.The tents of robbers are at peace, and those who provoke God are secure, who bring their god in their hand.“ But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you.Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.Does not the ear test words as the palate tastes food?Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.“ With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.If he tears down, none can rebuild; if he shuts a man in, none can open.If he withholds the waters, they dry up; if he sends them out, they overwhelm the land.With him are strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are his.He leads counselors away stripped, and judges he makes fools.He looses the bonds of kings and binds a waistcloth on their hips.He leads priests away stripped and overthrows the mighty.He deprives of speech those who are trusted and takes away the discernment of the elders.He pours contempt on princes and loosens the belt of the strong.He uncovers the deeps out of darkness and brings deep darkness to light.He makes nations great, and he destroys them; he enlarges nations, and leads them away.He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth and makes them wander in a trackless waste.They grope in the dark without light, and he makes them stagger like a drunken man.

“ Son of man, raise a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:“ You consider yourself a lion of the nations, but you are like a dragon in the seas; you burst forth in your rivers, trouble the waters with your feet, and foul their rivers.Thus says the Lord God: I will throw my net over you with a host of many peoples, and they will haul you up in my dragnet.And I will cast you on the ground; on the open field I will fling you, and will cause all the birds of the heavens to settle on you, and I will gorge the beasts of the whole earth with you.I will strew your flesh upon the mountains and fill the valleys with your carcass.

if I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand takes hold on judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and will repay those who hate me.I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh— with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the long-haired heads of the enemy.’

Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and majesty!

Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon.

And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying,“ Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

And the angel said to me,“ The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.

For my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens; behold, it descends for judgment upon Edom, upon the people I have devoted to destruction.The Lord has a sword; it is sated with blood; it is gorged with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me,“ Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters,

O you who dwell by many waters, rich in treasures, your end has come; the thread of your life is cut.

Ah, sword of the Lord! How long till you are quiet? Put yourself into your scabbard; rest and be still!

And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs.

“ He is the first of the works of God; let him who made him bring near his sword!

“ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me; he has made me an empty vessel; he has swallowed me like a monster; he has filled his stomach with my delicacies; he has rinsed me out.
