But your dead will live, Lord; their bodies will rise— let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy— your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.

Lord, your people who have died will live again. Their bodies will rise from the dead. Let those who lie in the grave wake up and shout for joy. You give life, Lord, like the dew of the morning. So the earth will give up its dead people.

But those who die in the Lord will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead!

The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.He had me pass among them all around, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and behold, they were very dry.Then He said to me,“ Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered,“ Lord God, You Yourself know.”Again He said to me,“ Prophesy over these bones and say to them,‘ You dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’This is what the Lord God says to these bones:‘ Behold, I am going to make breath enter you so that you may come to life.And I will attach tendons to you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin, and put breath in you so that you may come to life; and you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a loud noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.And I looked, and behold, tendons were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them.Then He said to me,“ Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath,‘ The Lord God says this:“ Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, so that they come to life.” ’ ”So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.Then He said to me,“ Son of man, these bones are the entire house of Israel; behold, they say,‘ Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are completely cut off.’Therefore prophesy and say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am going to open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people.And I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken and done it,” declares the Lord.’ ”

For this reason it says,“ Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.”

Also the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from death? Death, where are your thorns? Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion will be hidden from My sight.

He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him.

He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, so also God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.For we say this to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds.

who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

Do not be amazed at this; for a time is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,and will come out: those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the bad deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

“ Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies,and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming,

You who have shown me many troubles and distresses Will revive me again, And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

I will be like the dew to Israel; He will blossom like the lily, And he will take root like the cedars of Lebanon.

‘ For there will be the seed of peace: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce, and the heavens will provide their dew; and I will give to the remnant of this people all these things as an inheritance.

And their dead bodies will lie on the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.Those from the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.And those who live on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who live on the earth.And after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them.

having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

Awake, awake, Clothe yourself in your strength, Zion; Clothe yourself with your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city; For the uncircumcised and the unclean Will no longer come into you.Shake yourself from the dust, rise up, Captive Jerusalem; Release yourself from the chains around your neck, Captive daughter of Zion.

My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.

Pull yourself up! Pull yourself up! Arise, Jerusalem! You who have drunk from the Lord’s hand the cup of His anger; The chalice of staggering you have drunk to the dregs.

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

But the fact is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.

May my teaching drip as the rain, My speech trickle as the dew, As droplets on the fresh grass, And as the showers on the vegetation.

Now no shrub of the field was yet on the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted, for the Lord God had not sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground.But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground.

So Israel lives in security, The fountain of Jacob secluded, In a land of grain and new wine; His heavens also drip down dew.

Of Joseph he said,“ Blessed of the Lord be his land, With the choice things of heaven, with the dew, And from the deep waters lying beneath,

Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.

My root is spread out to the waters, And dew lies on my branch all night.
