仇敵被滅盡，敵國成為永久的廢墟；你把他們的城市拔出，連他們的名號也消亡了。

他用強有力的聲音呼喊說：「倒塌了！大巴比倫倒塌了！她成了鬼魔居住的地方、一切汙靈的巢穴、一切汙穢鳥類的巢穴、一切汙穢可憎野獸的巢穴。原來萬國都喝了她淫亂憤怒的酒，地上的眾君王曾與她行淫亂，地上的商人也由於她極度的驕奢淫逸而發了財。」

記念義人帶來祝福，惡人的名卻必朽爛。

但到了懲罰的日子，當毀滅從遠方臨到時，你們要怎麼辦呢？你們要逃到誰那裡求幫助呢？你們要把自己的財富留在哪裡呢？

說：「起來，帶著孩子和他的母親回以色列地去，因為那些追索這孩子性命的人已經死了。」

而你卻被拋出墳墓，如同一根被憎惡的枝子；你被那些遭刀劍刺透殺死、落入石坑的人所覆蓋，如同一具被踐踏的屍體。你必不能與其他君王同葬，因為你毀壞了你的國，殺戮了你的民。願作惡者的後裔永不被提起！你們要為他的子孫預備好屠宰場，這是因他們祖先的罪孽；他們絕不會再興起、占有地土、在世上布滿城鎮。」「我必起來攻擊他們！」萬軍之耶和華如此宣告。「我必把巴比倫的名號、餘剩者、子孫後代都剪除！」耶和華如此宣告。

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；竟忘記了那造你的耶和華，就是展開諸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟終日不斷地懼怕，就是懼怕壓迫者預備行毀滅時的怒火！其實那壓迫者的怒火在哪裡呢？

屬你的死人必活過來，他們的屍體必起來；住在塵土裡的啊，當醒來歡呼！因為你的甘露像天光的甘露，地要交出陰魂。

其餘死去的人還沒有活過來，直到這一千年完結。這是第一次的復活。

接著，我看見那獸和地上的眾君王以及他們的軍兵聚集在一起，要與騎白馬的那一位和他的軍隊作戰。但那獸被抓了；那假先知也與牠一起被抓了——他在獸面前行了許多奇蹟，藉此迷惑那些接受獸的印記並膜拜獸像的人。獸和那假先知兩個都活生生地被丟進燃燒著硫磺的火湖裡。其餘的人，也都被騎白馬那一位口中所發出的劍殺死了。所有的鳥都吃飽了他們的肉。
