有人对你们说：“要求问那些交鬼的和行巫术的，就是那些喃喃细语的人。”一族之民不应当求问自己的神吗？他们怎能为活人求问死人呢？

愿他的后人被除灭，愿他们的名字在下一代被涂抹。

仇敌的结局到了，他们遭毁灭，直到永远；你拆毁他们的城镇，使它们湮没无闻。

他用强有力的声音呼喊说：“倾倒了！大巴比伦倾倒了！成了鬼魔的住处，各样污灵的监狱，一切污秽可憎之雀鸟的牢笼，因为各国都喝她淫乱烈怒的酒醉了；地上的君王与她行淫，世上的商人因她奢华挥霍就发了财。”

义人的名必蒙称赞，恶人的名字却必腐朽。

在那里你们必事奉人手所做的神，就是用木头石头做成的，不能看、不能听、不能吃、不能闻的神。

到降罚的日子，有灾祸从远方来到，那时你们要怎样行呢？你们可以向谁逃奔求助呢？你们可以把你们的财宝撇在哪里呢？

雕刻的像有什么用处呢？不过是匠人雕刻出来的；铸造的像、虚假的教师，有什么用处呢？匠人竟倚靠自己所做，那不能说话的假神。你这对木头说“起来”，对哑石说“醒吧”的人，有祸了！它怎能教导你呢？看哪！它包金镶银，里面却全无气息。然而耶和华在他的圣殿里，全地当在他面前肃静。

说：“那些要杀害这孩子的人已经死了。起来，带着孩子和他母亲回以色列地去吧。”

但你要从你的坟墓中被逐出，好像一根被厌弃的树枝，你被那些遭刀剑所杀的人掩盖，就是那些被抛到坑中石头那里的人。你就像一具遭人践踏的尸体。你必不得与别的君王同葬，因为你败坏了你的国，杀戮了你的人民；愿那些恶人的后裔永远不被人提说。因为他们的祖宗犯了罪孽，你们要为他的子孙预备屠杀之处；不要让他们兴起来，占有地土，在世上布满城镇。”万军之耶和华说：“我必兴起攻击他们，把巴比伦的名号、所剩余的人，以及后裔子孙，都一同剪除。”这是耶和华说的。

“我，我耶和华是安慰你们的；你是谁，竟怕那会死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？你忘记了造你的耶和华，就是那展开诸天，奠定大地的根基的；又因那欺压者准备行毁灭的时候所发的烈怒，你就终日不住惧怕呢？其实那欺压者的烈怒在哪里呢？

这样，耶和华就在那一天把以色列人从埃及人的手里拯救了出来；以色列人看见埃及人都死在海边。

属你的死人要活过来，他们的尸体要起来；那些住在尘土里的必醒起，并且欢呼。因为你的甘露像早晨的甘露般临到，使地交出离世的人来。

其余的死人还没有复活，等到那一千年完了。这是头一次的复活。

我看见那兽和地上的众王，以及他们的众军，都集合起来，要跟那骑白马的和他的众军作战。那兽被捉住了；连同在兽面前用奇事迷惑人，使他们接受兽的记号，并且拜兽像的那假先知，也一起被捉住了。他们两个就活活地被抛在烧着硫磺的火湖里去。其余的人都被那位骑白马的口中所吐出来的剑杀了。所有飞鸟都吃饱了他们的肉。
