你要從鬚髮中取出幾縷用衣服包上，

如果你們不聽從你們的上帝耶和華的話，即使你們的人數多如天上的星，也將所剩無幾。

誰把雅各交給了擄掠者，使以色列任人劫掠？難道不是被我們得罪的耶和華嗎？他們不肯遵行祂的道，也不聽從祂的訓誨。所以，祂把烈怒和戰火傾倒在他們身上。他們被火包圍，卻不明白；被烈火焚身，卻不在乎。

「你們的子孫後代和從遠方來的外族人，必看見耶和華降在這地方的災禍和疾病。遍地將是硫磺和鹽，無法耕種，寸草不生，如同耶和華盛怒之下毀滅的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪和洗扁。萬國必問，『耶和華為什麼要這樣對待這地方？祂為什麼大發烈怒？』必有人回答說，『因為這地方的人背棄了他們祖先的上帝耶和華領他們出埃及時與他們所立的約，去供奉、祭拜他們所不認識、並非耶和華所分派的神明。因此，耶和華向這片土地發怒，把這書上的一切咒詛都降在這裡。耶和華盛怒之下把他們從這地方連根拔起，扔到別的地方，正如今日的情形。』

我今天警告你們，你們必定滅亡，在約旦河對岸——你們將要佔領的土地上無法長久。今天，我叫天地為你們作證，我已把生死禍福擺在你們面前。選擇生命吧，以便你們及子孫可以存活。

萬軍之耶和華說：「如果你們不聽從我的話，也不從內心尊崇我的名，我必使咒詛臨到你們，把你們的福氣變成咒詛。事實上，因為你們不把我的誡命放在心上，我已經咒詛了你們。

不過，主再來的日子要像賊一樣突然臨到。那日，諸天必在一聲巨響中消失，有形有質的都要被烈火焚毀，大地和其中的一切將不復存在。

舉國上下都是如此，所以你們必受咒詛。」

我要讓野獸殘害你們的子女，吞噬你們的牲畜，使你們人口銳減，路上杳無人跡。

耶和華必把你們驅散到列邦，使你們在列邦中的人數所剩無幾。

「你們若不聽從你們的上帝耶和華，不謹遵祂今天藉我吩咐你們的一切誡命和律例，祂必使以下的咒詛臨到你們。「無論你們住在城裡還是鄉村，都必受咒詛。「你們的籃子和揉麵盆都必受咒詛。「婦女所生的，土地所產的，牛羊所生的都必受咒詛。「你們出入都必受咒詛。「因為你們背棄耶和華，祂要使你們凡事受咒詛、混亂不堪、飽受責罰，直到你們被毀滅，迅速滅亡。

眾人都說：「流祂血的責任由我們和我們的子孫承擔！」
