So it will happen on that day, That the Lord will punish the rebellious angels of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth.

當是時萬有之主耶和華、為君於耶路撒冷、以及郇山、於諸長老前、顯其榮光、罰斯土之王、高位之臣、若令日月韜光隱耀、使之蒙恥、如罪人囚於囹圄、歷日既久、復加眷顧。

當是日主在高高或作穹蒼懲罰在高諸軍、在地懲罰地之列王、

In that day the Lord will punish the powers in the heavens above and the kings on the earth below.

At that time the Lord will punish the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens above. He will also punish the kings on the earth below.

On that day the Lord will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth.

In that day the Lord will punish the gods in the heavens and the proud rulers of the nations on earth.

On that day the LORD will punish the army of the heights in the heights and the kings of the ground on the ground.

It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.

He will cut off the spirit of princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth.

Now this will be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth.And it will come about on that day that a great panic from the Lord will fall on them; and they will seize one another’s hand, and the hand of one will be raised against the hand of another.Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold, silver, and garments in great abundance.And just like this plague, there will be a plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, the donkey, and all the cattle that will be in those camps.Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of armies, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths.And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of armies, there will be no rain on them.And if the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say,“ I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the arrogant pride of his eyes.”

For the Lord’s anger is against all the nations, And His wrath against all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them, He has turned them over to slaughter.So their slain will be thrown out, And their corpses will give off their stench, And the mountains will be drenched with their blood.And all the heavenly lights will wear away, And the sky will be rolled up like a scroll; All its lights will also wither away As a leaf withers from the vine, Or as one withers from the fig tree.For My sword has drunk its fill in heaven; Behold it shall descend for judgment upon Edom, And upon the people whom I have designated for destruction.The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, It drips with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.Wild oxen will also fall with them And young bulls with strong ones; So their land will be soaked with blood, And their dust become greasy with fat.For the Lord has a day of vengeance, A year of retribution for the cause of Zion.Its streams will be turned into pitch, And its loose earth into brimstone, And its land will become burning pitch.It will not be extinguished night or day; Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation it will be desolate; None will pass through it forever and ever.But pelican and hedgehog will possess it, And owl and raven will dwell in it; And He will stretch over it the line of desolation And the plumb line of emptiness.Its nobles— there is no one there Whom they may proclaim king— And all its officials will be nothing.Thorns will come up in its fortified towers, Weeds and thistles in its fortified cities; It will also be a haunt of jackals And a habitat of ostriches.The desert creatures will meet with the wolves, The goat also will cry to its kind. Yes, the night bird will settle there And will find herself a resting place.The tree snake will make its nest and lay eggs there, And it will hatch and gather them under its protection. Yes, the hawks will be gathered there, Every one with its kind.Seek from the book of the Lord, and read: Not one of these will be missing; None will lack its mate. For His mouth has commanded, And His Spirit has gathered them.He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it to them by the measuring line. They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

When the Lord has compassion on Jacob and again chooses Israel, and settles them on their own land, then strangers will join them and attach themselves to the house of Jacob.The peoples will take them along and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will make them their own possession in the land of the Lord as male and female servants; and they will take their captors captive and will rule over their oppressors.

The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.Then the kings of the earth and the eminent people, and the commanders and the wealthy and the strong, and every slave and free person hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;and they* said to the mountains and the rocks,“ Fall on us and hide us from the sight of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;for the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

For in a very little while My indignation against you will be ended and My anger will be directed toward their destruction.”The Lord of armies will wield a whip against him like the defeat of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and His staff will be over the sea, and He will lift it up the way He did in Egypt.So it will be on that day, that his burden will be removed from your shoulders, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of fatness.

Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; stir up the warriors! Have all the soldiers come forward, have them come up!Beat your plowshares into swords, And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak man say,“ I am a warrior.”Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, Lord, Your warriors.Let the nations be awakened And come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations.Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread the grapes, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.The sun and moon have become dark, And the stars have lost their brightness.The Lord roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth quake. But the Lord is a refuge for His people, And a stronghold for the sons of Israel.Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, Dwelling on Zion, My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will no longer pass through it.

For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, And Moab will be trampled down in his place As straw is trampled down in the water of a manure pile.And he will spread out his hands in the middle of it As a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim, But the Lord will lay low his pride together with the trickery of his hands.The unassailable fortifications of your walls He will bring down, Lay low, and throw to the ground, to the dust.

“ Speak to Zerubbabel governor of Judah, saying,‘ I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.And I will overthrow the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations; and I will overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the horses and their riders will go down, every one by the sword of another.’

The high praises of God shall be in their mouths, And a two edged sword in their hands,To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishment on the peoples,To bind their kings with chains, And their dignitaries with shackles of iron,To execute against them the judgment written. This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the Lord!

“ And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of sexual immorality and lived luxuriously with her, will weep and mourn over her when they see the smoke of her burning,

These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”

so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, both free and slaves, and small and great.”And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse, and against His army.And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone.And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Egypt will become a wasteland, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood.

Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,and say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.So I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them magnificently dressed, a great contingent with shield and buckler, all of them wielding swords;Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet;Gomer with all its troops; Beth togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops— many peoples with you.“ Be ready, and be prepared, you and all your contingents that are assembled around you, and be a guard for them.After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual place of ruins; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them.And you will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you.”‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan,and you will say,‘ I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, who live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates,to capture spoils and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the ruins that are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who live at the center of the world.’Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you,‘ Have you come to capture spoils? Have you assembled your contingent to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to capture great spoils?’ ” ’“ Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ On that day when My people Israel are living securely, will you not know it?You will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding horses, a large assembly and a mighty army;and you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I show Myself holy through you before their eyes, Gog.”‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days through My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them?It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares the Lord God,“ that My fury will mount up in My anger.In My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will certainly be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, all the crawling things that crawl on the earth, and all mankind who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; and the mountains will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground.And I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains,” declares the Lord God.“ Every man’s sword will be against his brother.With plague and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.” ’
