Whoever flees at the sound of terror will fall into a pit; whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare. The floodgates of the heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake.

Anyone who runs away from the terror will fall into the pit. Anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap. The Lord will open the windows of the skies. He will flood the land. The foundations of the earth will shake.

He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will be caught in a snare. Destruction falls like rain from the heavens; the foundations of the earth shake.

那時地搖撼震動，山的根基也戰抖，是因他發烈怒而左右搖撼。

當挪亞活了六百歲那一年，二月十七日這一天，大深淵的泉源都裂開了，天上的罅隙也敞開了。

永恆主使他們在以色列人面前潰亂；約書亞在基遍大大擊敗他們，沿伯和崙的上坡路向追趕他們，擊殺了他們、直到亞西加和瑪基大。他們從以色列人面前逃跑，正在伯和崙下坡的時候，永恆主從天上降了大冰石在他們身上，直降到亞西加，打死他們；那死於冰雹石的、比以色列人用刀殺死的還多。

就像人躲避了獅子，卻遇見了熊；進了屋子，手靠着牆，卻給蛇咬了。

所以地雖起了改變，我們也不怕；山雖搖動到海心，我們也不驚；海雖匉訇，而海水翻騰，山雖因海漲而震戰，我們也不慌。（細拉）

他或者會躲避了鐵器，但銅弓的箭必將他射透。

永恆主啊，你的叱責一發，你鼻孔的氣息一呼出，海底就出現，大地的根基也現露。

因為他因自己的腳而被投入網中，走於纏人的圈套上。機檻抓住他的腳跟，羅網把他逮住。活扣埋藏於地中等着他，捕機安設在路上候着他。四面的恐怖使他驚惶，隨着他的腳跟追逼着他。他強壯之力因饑餓而衰竭，災難準備要使他顛沛。災病侵蝕他皮肉的肢體，致死的大病侵蝕他的四肢。他被拖出、離開他倚靠的帳棚，他受迫行進、到令人恐怖的王那裏。不屬他的、住在他的帳棚裏；有硫磺撒在他的莊舍。下邊他的根頭枯乾；上邊他的枝條被割下

有一個職司手扶攙王、的軍官回答神人說：『除非永恆主在天上開了罅隙，哪裏有這事呢？』以利沙說：『你就看吧，你必親眼看見，卻喫不着。』

以色列人和亞蘭人相對地紮了營七天；第七天就接了戰；那一天以色列人擊敗了亞蘭人十萬步兵。其餘的逃到亞弗城內；剩下的二萬七千人、城牆塌陷在他們身上了。便哈達也逃跑；進了城裏一間儘內屋。

『因為我怒氣中有火燒起，直燒到陰間之最低處，把地和地的土產都燒滅掉，連山的根基也燒𤏲了。『「我必將災禍加在他們身上，把我的箭向他們射盡。叫他們被饑荒所嗍乾，被高熱症和苦毒病所吞滅；我必打發野獸的牙齒去咬他們，跟塵土中蛇類的毒素去害他們。外頭有刀劍、內室有恐怖，使壯丁和處女、喫奶的同白髮的、盡都喪亡。『若不是我怕仇敵惹我發怒，我原想着說：「我必將他們割裂成塊，使他們的名號都滅絕於人間」；恐怕敵人判斷錯了，恐怕他們說：「是我們的手高舉起來作的，並不是永恆主行了這一切事啊。」

當時永恆主從天上、永恆主那裏、下硫磺雨跟火雨、在所多瑪和蛾摩拉上頭；
