Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires,[ even] the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

緣此爾曹在東方東方或作旭日發光之處尊榮主、在諸海島尊榮主以色列天主之名、

Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.

So give glory to him, you who live in the east. Honor the name of the Lord, you who are in the islands of the sea. He is the God of Israel.

Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; in the coastlands of the sea, give glory to the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.

In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.

Therefore, in the east honor the LORD! In the coasts and islands of the west honor the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

Therefore glorify the Lord in the east, The name of the Lord, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea.

Therefore glorify the Lord in the dawning light, The name of the Lord God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea.

Wherefore glorify ye Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.

Therefore, in the east honor the Lord! In the islands of the west honor the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

So in the east extol the LORD, along the seacoasts extol the fame of the LORD God of Israel.

Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, even the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea!

For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name[ shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense[ shall be] offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name[ shall be] great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.

My righteousness[ is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

Sing unto the LORD a new song,[ and] his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and[ be] ready always to[ give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

And it shall come to pass in that day,[ that] the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

The LORD[ will be] terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and[ men] shall worship him, every one from his place,[ even] all the isles of the heathen.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make[ the oppressed] to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.But none saith, Where[ is] God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

The isles saw[ it], and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither[ shall] fruit[ be] in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and[ there shall be] no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

And it shall come to pass,[ that] in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off[ and] die; but the third shall be left therein.And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It[ is] my people: and they shall say, The LORD[ is] my God.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy[ are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations,[ to] Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow,[ to] Tubal, and Javan,[ to] the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark,[ and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous[ are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true[ are] thy ways, thou King of saints.Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for[ thou] only[ art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
