All your leaders have fled together; they have been captured without using the bow. All you who were caught were taken prisoner together, having fled while the enemy was still far away.

看哪！主萬軍之耶和華快要從耶路撒冷和猶大除掉人所依靠和所依賴的，就是所依靠的一切糧和一切水；除掉勇士和戰士、審判官和先知、占卜者和長老、五十夫長和尊貴人、謀士和有技藝的工匠，以及精通法術的。我要使孩子作他們的首領，使頑童管轄他們。百姓將彼此欺壓，這人欺壓那人，各人欺壓自己的鄰人；少年人侮慢老年人，卑微人侮慢尊貴人。人必在他的父家拉住自己的兄弟，說：「你有一件外衣，就作我們的統領吧！這破敗的一攤就歸你手下了。」那時，他兄弟必揚聲說：「我不是包紮者，我家裡沒有糧食，也沒有外衣。你們不要立我作百姓的統領。」耶路撒冷衰敗，猶大傾倒，因為他們的言行敵對耶和華，抗逆他榮耀的臨在。
