On that day”— the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ the peg that was driven into a firm place will give way, be cut off, and fall, and the load on it will be destroyed.” Indeed, the LORD has spoken.

万军之耶和华说：‘到那日，那钉在稳固地方的钉子必垂下来，被砍断坠落；那挂在上面的担子必被砍掉，因为这是耶和华说的。’”

万军之耶和华宣告：“到那日，那钉在牢固地方的橛子必松脱、被砍断坠落，挂在其上的负载也必被除掉！”这是耶和华说的。

萬軍之永恆主發神諭說：『當那日子、那釘在穩固之處的木橛子必支持不住而彎垂下來；它必被砍斷而墮落地；那掛在上頭的擔子必被剪斷；因為這是永恆主說的。』

萬軍之耶和華宣告：「到那日，那釘在牢固地方的橛子必鬆脫、被砍斷墜落，掛在其上的負載也必被除掉！」這是耶和華說的。

萬軍之耶和華曰、是日也、釘於堅處之釘不牢、被擊而墜、懸於其上者見絕、耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華曰、維爾設拿、雖釘釘於柱、亦必不堅、所懸之物必墮、我耶和華已言之矣。

萬有之主曰、當是日釘於堅固處之釘必除、見折而墮、懸於其上之物、悉必毀折、蓋主言之矣、

“ In that day,” declares the Lord Almighty,“ the peg driven into the firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and will fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut down.” The Lord has spoken.

“‘ But a new day is coming,’ ” announces the Lord who rules over all.“‘ At that time the peg that was driven into the wall will give way. It will break off and fall down. And the heavy load hanging on it will also fall.’ ” The Lord has spoken.

But the Lord of Heaven’s Armies also says:“ The time will come when I will pull out the nail that seemed so firm. It will come out and fall to the ground. Everything it supports will fall with it. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

On that day,” declares the Lord of armies,“ the peg driven into a firm place will give way; it will even break off and fall, and the load that is hanging on it will be cut off, for the Lord has spoken.”

In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts,‘ the peg that is fastened in the secure place will be removed and be cut down and fall, and the burden that was on it will be cut off; for the Lord has spoken.’”

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall the nail that was fastened in a sure place give way; and it shall be hewn down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off; for Jehovah hath spoken it.

“ In that day,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for Yahweh has spoken it.”

But each person will sit under his grapevine and under his fig tree with no one to frighten him. For the mouth of the LORD of Armies has spoken.

I call a bird of prey from the east, a man for my purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it.

For Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them. He cast the pur— that is, the lot— to crush and destroy them.But when the matter was brought before the king, he commanded by letter that the evil plan Haman had devised against the Jews return on his own head and that he should be hanged with his sons on the gallows.

I will drive him, like a peg, into a firm place. He will be a throne of honor for his father’s family.

This is why God will bring you down forever. He will take you, ripping you out of your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah

So you will be a disgrace and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations around you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and furious rebukes. I, the LORD, have spoken.

When my anger is spent and I have vented my wrath on them, I will be appeased. Then after I have spent my wrath on them, they will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my jealousy.

The Jews put all their enemies to the sword, killing and destroying them. They did what they pleased to those who hated them.In the fortress of Susa the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men,including Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha,Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vaizatha.They killed these ten sons of Haman son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews. However, they did not seize any plunder.On that day the number of people killed in the fortress of Susa was reported to the king.The king said to Queen Esther,“ In the fortress of Susa the Jews have killed and destroyed five hundred men, including Haman’s ten sons. What have they done in the rest of the royal provinces? Whatever you ask will be given to you. Whatever you seek will also be done.”Esther answered,“ If it pleases the king, may the Jews who are in Susa also have tomorrow to carry out today’s law, and may the bodies of Haman’s ten sons be hung on the gallows.”The king gave the orders for this to be done, so a law was announced in Susa, and they hung the bodies of Haman’s ten sons.

Because of this, the earth will mourn; the skies above will grow dark. I have spoken; I have planned, and I will not relent or turn back from it.”

This is what the LORD says: Cursed is the person who trusts in mankind. He makes human flesh his strength, and his heart turns from the LORD.He will be like a juniper in the Arabah; he cannot see when good comes but dwells in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.

Do not trust in nobles, in a son of man, who cannot save.

I will send famine and dangerous animals against you. They will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring a sword against you. I, the LORD, have spoken.”

I— I have spoken; yes, I have called him; I have brought him, and he will succeed in his mission.

The Lord GOD of Armies said,“ Go to Shebna, that steward who is in charge of the palace, and say to him:What are you doing here? Who authorized you to carve out a tomb for yourself here, carving your tomb on the height and cutting a resting place for yourself out of rock?
