大聲呼曰、巴比倫大邑、傾矣、傾矣、今為鬼魔居處、並為諸邪神邪神或作不潔之神及諸不潔可憎之鳥所棲、

有一大力之天使、舉石大如磨磐者投於海、曰、巴比倫大邑、亦必如是猝然傾頹、不復得見、

主曰、時日將至、我必降災於巴比倫之偶像、使巴比倫地、徧有受傷者咨嗟歎息、

當播告宣示於列邦、樹立旌旗、宣示勿隱、曰、巴比倫已陷、彼勒抱愧、米羅達見折、巴比倫之神像被辱、諸偶像見折、民自北至、攻巴比倫、使其地荒蕪、無人居處、自人至畜、皆逃遁、皆去矣、

當招集善射者來攻巴比倫、惟爾挽弓者、列營於其四周而困之、不容一人逃避、視其所為而報之、循其所行而待之、因居心狂傲、逆主以色列之聖主故也、

其日爾當當或作將唱斯歌、以刺巴比倫王、曰、虐遇人者絕矣、強暴之事息矣、

彼勒顛蹶、尼波傾仆、其像為獸為畜所負、爾素所舁者、必載於困憊之牲畜、彼皆傾仆顛蹶、不能救所負之像、乃見擄掠、
