Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say,“ I am strong!”

My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and well- being your ruler.No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; may he crush the oppressor.May he endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.

Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
