People will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from the fearful presence of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.

People will run and hide in caves in the rocks. They will go into holes in the ground. They will run away from the terrifying presence of the Lord. They will run when he comes in glory and majesty. When he comes, he will shake the earth.

And people shall enter the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from before the terror of the Lord, and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.

When the Lord rises to shake the earth, his enemies will crawl into holes in the ground. They will hide in caves in the rocks from the terror of the Lord and the glory of his majesty.

隨後有閃電、聲音和雷鳴，又發生了大地震，自從地上有人以來，沒有發生過如此大、如此厲害的地震。

於是他們兩人就讓非利士的守軍看見他們。非利士人說：「看，希伯來人從他們躲藏的洞裡出來了！」

以色列人看見形勢危急，處境窘迫，軍兵就躲藏在洞穴裡、叢林中、巖石間、地窖裡和坑裡。

他們是這世界不配有的。他們在曠野、山嶺、岩穴、地洞中漂流無定。

海水啊，你為什麼逃跑呢？約旦河啊，你為什麼倒流呢？群山哪，你為什麼跳躍如公羊呢？岡陵啊，你為什麼跳躍如羊羔呢？大地啊，在主的面前，在雅各的神面前，你當震撼！

不過，主的日子要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣。在那日，諸天要轟然一聲地消逝，天體將被火焚燒而廢除，地和地上的作為也都將被暴露出來。既然這一切都要如此被廢除，那麼，你們應該做什麼樣的人呢？應該行為聖潔、敬畏神，等候並催促神的日子來臨。因為在那日，諸天將被焚燒而廢除，天體要被火焚燒而熔化。但照著他的應許，我們等候著一個新天新地，有公義居住在那裡。

耶和華啊，求你在怒氣中起來！求你挺身而起對抗我敵人的盛怒，求你為我醒來！你已經下令施行審判。

隨後，神在天上的聖所開了，他的約櫃在他聖所中顯現。接著有閃電、聲音、雷鳴、地震和大冰雹。

在那些日子裡，人們將會求死，卻絕不得死；他們渴望死，死卻逃避他們。

我又觀看，羔羊打開第六個封印的時候，發生了大地震。太陽變黑像粗毛布，整個月亮變得像血。天上的星辰墜落到地上，就像無花果樹被大風搖動，落下它未熟的果子那樣。天被劈裂，好像書卷被捲起來；一切山嶺和海島也都從原處被挪開了。地上的眾君王、大臣、軍官、富有的、有權的、所有的奴隸和自由人，都藏在洞穴裡和山嶺的岩石間。

我在危難中呼求耶和華，我向我的神呼救，他從他的聖殿中垂聽了我的聲音，我在他面前的呼救進入他的耳中。那時大地搖撼、震動，群山的根基也顫抖、搖撼，因為他發怒了。濃煙從他的鼻孔上騰，吞噬的烈火從他口中而出，火炭也從他那裡燃起。他又使諸天下垂，親自降臨；他的腳下是幽深的黑暗。他乘駕基路伯飛翔，在風的翅膀上翱翔。他以黑暗作他的藏身處，以眾水的黑暗、天空的烏雲作他四周的帷幕。冰雹和火炭從他面前的光輝中而出，穿過了烏雲。耶和華在天上發出雷鳴，至高者發出他的聲音，伴隨著冰雹和火炭；他發出箭矢，使仇敵四散，發出眾多閃電，使他們潰亂。耶和華啊，你斥責一發，你鼻孔的氣一出，海底就出現，世界的根基也顯露。

接著，我看見一個白色的大寶座和坐在它上面的那一位。地和天都從他面前逃避，連它們的地方也找不到了。

耶和華施刑的杖每打他們一下，人都會擊鼓和彈琴；打仗的時候，耶和華必揮手與他們爭戰。
