And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up, Against all the oaks of Bashan,

又要攻击黎巴嫩所有高大的香柏树，和巴珊所有的橡树。

又临到所有高耸挺拔的黎巴嫩香柏树和所有巴珊的橡树，

又臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹和巴珊的橡樹；

臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹、巴珊的橡樹，

臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹、巴珊的橡樹，

祂必毀滅黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹和巴珊的橡樹，

又要攻擊黎巴嫩所有高大的香柏樹，和巴珊所有的橡樹。

要攻擊利巴嫩高而昂的香柏樹，和巴珊的橡樹；

又臨到所有高聳挺拔的黎巴嫩香柏樹和所有巴珊的橡樹，

亦臨及利巴嫩高大之香柏、巴珊之橡樹、

凡利巴嫩干霄之柏香木、巴山之橡樹。

必伐利巴嫩諸高大之柏香木、巴珊之諸橡樹、

for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty, and all the oaks of Bashan,

The Lord has set that day apart for all the cedar trees in Lebanon. They are very tall. He has set that day apart for all the oak trees in Bashan.

against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up; and against all the oaks of Bashan;

He will cut down the tall cedars of Lebanon and all the mighty oaks of Bashan.

Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;

and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan,

And upon all the cedars of Lebanon,[ that are] high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are so high and mighty, for all the oaks of Bashan;

for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,

Even the juniper trees rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying,‘ Since you have been laid low, no tree cutter comes up against us.’

Open your doors, Lebanon, So that a fire may feed on your cedars.Wail, juniper, because the cedar has fallen, For the magnificent trees have been destroyed; Wail, oaks of Bashan, Because the impenetrable forest has come down.

Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, And you have said,‘ With my many chariots I came up to the heights of the mountains, To the remotest parts of Lebanon; And I cut down its tall cedars and its choice junipers. And I will come to its highest peak, its thickest forest.

Behold, the Lord, the God of armies, will lop off the branches with terrifying power; Those also who are tall in stature will be cut down, And those who are lofty will be brought low.He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an iron axe, And Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.

So I will send fire upon Judah, And it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem.”

Behold, Assyria was a cedar in Lebanon With beautiful branches and forest shade, And very high, And its top was among the clouds.The waters made it grow, the deep made it high. With its rivers it continually extended all around its planting place, And sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.Therefore its height was loftier than all the trees of the field And its boughs became many and its branches long Because of many waters as it spread them out.All the birds of the sky nested in its twigs, And under its branches all the animals of the field gave birth, And all great nations lived under its shade.So it was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches; For its roots extended to many waters.The cedars in God’s garden could not match it; The junipers could not compare with its branches, And the plane trees could not match its branches. No tree in God’s garden could compare with it in its beauty.I made it beautiful with the multitude of its branches, And all the trees of Eden, which were in the garden of God, were jealous of it.‘ Therefore this is what the Lord God says:“ Because it is tall in stature and has put its top among the clouds, and its heart is haughty in its loftiness,I will hand it over to a ruler of the nations; he will thoroughly deal with it. In accordance with its wickedness I have driven it out.Foreign tyrants of the nations have cut it down and left it; on the mountains and in all the valleys its branches have fallen, and its branches have been broken in all the ravines of the land. And all the peoples of the earth have gone down from its shade and left it.
