“ Help us,” they cry.“ Defend us against our enemies. Protect us from their relentless attack. Do not betray us now that we have escaped.

Give us counsel and make a decision. Shelter us at noonday with shade that is as dark as night. Hide the refugees; do not betray the one who flees.

“ Give us advice, make a decision; Cast your shadow like night at high noon; Hide the outcasts, do not betray the fugitive.

適耶洗別欲殲滅耶和華諸先知、阿巴底匿先知百人於巖穴、每穴五十人、以水以餅為其養贍。

強暴之人、若風撼墻、窮民遭難、爾扞衛之、颶風狂飆、爾扶翼之、烈日炎熇、爾庇蔭之、

狂風驟起、棲身巖穴、行於曠野、飲泉解渴、烈日炎熇、困憊不勝、得磐巖以憩息、君之保民亦若是、

向爾昆弟猶大、為人薄待、爾奚可旁觀、彼幾攖殺戮、爾奚可欣喜、彼備嘗困苦、爾奚可加以悔慢、我民遘難、所遭孔迫、爾奚可入其邑門、彼罹災害、爾奚可攘其貨財、如有免於難者、爾奚可立於險隘之區、絕其歸途、如有遺民、爾奚可因其艱難之日、付於敵手、

主耶和華曰、爾以色列君畿內所產、足以自供、勿強暴攘奪、惟孳孳然行仁為義、權量法度、悉秉至公、石斗之制、維務均平、十斗為一石。十錢為一兩、三十兩為二斤、

蓋我饑、爾食我、我渴、爾飲我、我為旅、爾館我、

約拿出邑、東向而坐、構廬居於蔭下、欲觀此邑、終必若何、耶和華上帝使蓖蔴叢生、高於約拿、庇蔭厥首、以解其憂、約拿得蓖蔴之蔭、意甚怡悅、詰旦昧爽、上帝使蟲嚙蓖蔴、遂至枯槁、日出時、上帝使風東來、其氣炎熇日暴約拿之首、使之喪魂求死、曰、寧死不生、

棘曰、如爾誠欲膏我、立我為王、當藉我蔭為蔽、不然、願火自棘出、燬利巴嫩之柏香木。

我萬有之主耶和華曰、當秉公義、矜憫為懷、相待以仁、

維彼孤子、貧乏煢獨、當為之伸冤兮、窮民遭難、爾其援手、毋為惡人所害兮。

我今勸王棄惡歸善、矜憫貧乏、則享綏安、庶幾恆久、

子將誕生、上帝所賜、我受其益、彼必負荷國政、其名不一、稱為神妙哲士、全能上帝、永生之主、平康之君、

昔耶和華安集以色列族離散之民、今主耶和華曰、我又將懷來異邦之人、咸萃一方。

耶和華曰、爾居斯土、當秉公義、凡受暴者、爾其拯救、賓旅孤寡、爾無虐遇、勿殺無辜、

常柔遠人、蓋亦有不知其為天使而接之者、
