爾自謂必昇天、位崇隆、越乎至高之星辰、坐峻峭之山、入大會之中、躋北極之所、

爾自謂、我必升天、設位在天主眾星之上、坐於聚會之山、在北之極處、

你曾說：『我必永遠作王后！』你不把這些事放在心上，也不顧念事情的結局。「因此，你這驕奢的人哪——你安然居住，心裡說：『只有我，除我以外再沒有別的；我必不會寡居，也不會經歷喪子之事。』——現在你要聽這話：喪子和寡居這兩件事必在一日之內突然臨到你！你的法術再多，符咒再有威力，這兩件事也必全然臨到你！你依靠自己的惡行，說：『沒有人看見我。』你的智慧和知識把你引入歧途，你心裡就說：『只有我，除我以外再沒有別的！』

她怎樣炫耀自己、驕奢淫逸，你們也要照樣給她折磨和悲傷，因為她心裡說：『我坐著女王的位子，我不是寡婦，絕不會經歷悲傷。』為此，在一天之內她所受的災害，就是死亡、悲傷和饑荒，就要來到。她將要在烈火中被燒掉，因為主、神——審判她的那一位是強有力的。」

他反對一切被稱為神的，或受人敬拜的，他又高抬自己在這一切之上，甚至坐在神的聖所裡宣稱自己是神。

錫安山——大君王的城，在北方的極處，高聳美麗，是全地的喜樂。

而你——迦百農啊，你將被高舉到天上嗎？不，你將下到陰間。因為在你中間行過的神蹟，如果行在所多瑪，它就會存留到今天。

開口說：「這大巴比倫，難道不是我以自己的權能力量建為國都，為要顯出我威嚴的尊榮嗎？」這話還在王的口中，就有聲音從天上降下，說：「尼布甲尼撒王啊，這是對你的宣告：你的國權從你那裡被移除了！
