The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Foreigners will join them and unite with the descendants of Jacob.

The Lord will show tender love toward Jacob’s people. Once again he will choose Israel. He’ll give them homes in their own land. Outsiders will join them. They and the people of Jacob will become one people.

Yes, many peoples and strong nations Shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, And to pray before the Lord.’“ Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying,“ Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

“ For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you.With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the Lord, your Redeemer.

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them from the ends of the earth, Among them the blind and the lame, The woman with child And the one who labors with child, together; A great throng shall return there.They shall come with weeping, And with supplications I will lead them. Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name.And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:‘ After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up;So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the Lord who does all these things.’

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice( for the Lord your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

“ Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem.

“ Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants— Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant—Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”The Lord GOD, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says,“ Yet I will gather to him Others besides those who are gathered to him.”

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.They shall be My people, and I will be their God;then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’

For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations,” Says the Lord of hosts.

Then it shall be, after I have plucked them out, that I will return and have compassion on them and bring them back, everyone to his heritage and everyone to his land.And it shall be, if they will learn carefully the ways of My people, to swear by My name,‘ As the Lord lives,’ as they taught My people to swear by Baal, then they shall be established in the midst of My people.

“ In those days and in that time,” says the Lord,“ The children of Israel shall come, They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, And seek the Lord their God.They shall ask the way to Zion, With their faces toward it, saying,‘ Come and let us join ourselves to the Lord In a perpetual covenant That will not be forgotten.’“ My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray; They have turned them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill; They have forgotten their resting place.

“ Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, And Israel whom I have chosen.

“ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:‘ Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name—after they have borne their shame, and all their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, when they dwelt safely in their own land and no one made them afraid.When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations,then they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer.And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord GOD.”

“ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon Has devoured me, he has crushed me; He has made me an empty vessel, He has swallowed me up like a monster; He has filled his stomach with my delicacies, He has spit me out.Let the violence done to me and my flesh be upon Babylon,” The inhabitant of Zion will say;“ And my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea!” Jerusalem will say.Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.Babylon shall become a heap, A dwelling place for jackals, An astonishment and a hissing, Without an inhabitant.

“ Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God.“ Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.”

And in every province and city, wherever the king’s command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday. Then many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them.

In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria— a blessing in the midst of the land,whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying,“ Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.

Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ The children of Israel were oppressed, Along with the children of Judah; All who took them captive have held them fast; They have refused to let them go.

He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy,

Thus says the Lord, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers:“ Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You.”

The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.“ Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

“ Remember these, O Jacob, And Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”

For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, And those thrust through in her streets.For Israel is not forsaken, nor Judah, By his God, the Lord of hosts, Though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.”Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; He shall recompense her.

Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying,‘ If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’

He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Those who come He shall cause to take root in Jacob; Israel shall blossom and bud, And fill the face of the world with fruit.

“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; The city shall be built upon its own mound, And the palace shall remain according to its own plan.Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.Their children also shall be as before, And their congregation shall be established before Me; And I will punish all who oppress them.Their nobles shall be from among them, And their governor shall come from their midst; Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord.‘ You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’”

‘ But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me,and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt—then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land.The land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their guilt, because they despised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes.Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.’”

I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear,

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you.Lift up your eyes, look around and see; All these gather together and come to you. As I live,” says the Lord,“ You shall surely clothe yourselves with them all as an ornament, And bind them on you as a bride does.“ For your waste and desolate places, And the land of your destruction, Will even now be too small for the inhabitants; And those who swallowed you up will be far away.The children you will have, After you have lost the others, Will say again in your ears,‘ The place is too small for me; Give me a place where I may dwell.’Then you will say in your heart,‘ Who has begotten these for me, Since I have lost my children and am desolate, A captive, and wandering to and fro? And who has brought these up? There I was, left alone; But these, where were they?’”Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, And set up My standard for the peoples; They shall bring your sons in their arms, And your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders;Kings shall be your foster fathers, And their queens your nursing mothers; They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, And lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord, For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”

“ Israel is like scattered sheep; The lions have driven him away. First the king of Assyria devoured him; Now at last this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.”Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, As I have punished the king of Assyria.But I will bring back Israel to his home, And he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan; His soul shall be satisfied on Mount Ephraim and Gilead.In those days and in that time,” says the Lord,“ The iniquity of Israel shall be sought, but there shall be none; And the sins of Judah, but they shall not be found; For I will pardon those whom I preserve.

Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the Lord out of all nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the Lord,“ as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.

In Your mercy cut off my enemies, And destroy all those who afflict my soul; For I am Your servant.

A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”
