The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on that Branch. The Spirit will help him to be wise and understanding. The Spirit will help him make wise plans and carry them out. The Spirit will help him know the Lord and have respect for him.

And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.

Yahweh’s Spirit will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh.

主耶和華的靈在我身上，因為耶和華膏抹我，要我傳好消息給卑微的人；他派遣我去治癒心靈破碎的人，去宣告被擄的得自由、被囚的得釋放，

不過當那位真理的靈來了，他就會引導你們進入一切真理。那時，他不會憑著自己說話，只把所聽到的說出來，並且把那些就要來的事傳講給你們。

「看哪，我的僕人——我所扶持、我所揀選、我心所喜悅的！我已經把我的靈賜給他，他必給列國帶來公正。

也把你們在聖靈裡的愛告訴了我們。為此，我們自從聽到這事的那一天起，就不斷地為你們禱告和祈求：願你們藉著一切屬靈的智慧和悟性，能被神旨意的真正知識所充滿；

耶穌受了洗，一從水裡上來，看哪，諸天就為他開了，他看見神的靈好像鴿子降下，臨到他身上。

願我們主耶穌基督的神——榮耀的父，賜給你們智慧和啟示的靈，使你們能真正地認識他。我也求神照亮你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道：屬他召喚的盼望到底是什麼；在聖徒中間，他繼業榮耀的豐盛到底是什麼；

實際上，神所賜給我們的，不是膽怯的靈，而是大能、慈愛、自制的靈。

約翰又見證說：「我看到聖靈好像鴿子從天上降臨，停留在他身上。我以前也不認識他，可是那派我用水施洗的對我說：『如果你看見聖靈降臨在誰身上，又停留在誰身上，誰就是用聖靈施洗的那一位。』

至於從上面來的智慧，首先是純潔的，然後是和平的、謙和的、溫順的，滿有憐憫和美好的果子的，是不偏私、不虛假的；並且義行的果子，是由那些締造和平的人，在和平中種下的。

他就是真理的靈，是世界不能接受的，因為世界看不到他，也不認識他。而你們認識他，因為他與你們同在，並且要在你們裡面。

但本於神，你們卻是在基督耶穌裡的。基督耶穌為我們成了從神而來的智慧、公義、聖潔和救贖，

神所差派的那一位，就說神的話語，因為神不靠著量度賜下聖靈。

耶和華說：「至於我，我與他們所立的約就是：那在你身上的我的靈、我放在你口中的我的話，必不離開你的口，也不離開你後裔的口以及你後裔之後裔的口；從今直到永遠！」這是耶和華說的。

你們要靠近我聽這話！從起初，我就沒有在隱祕處說話；從事情發生之時，我就在那裡。」現在，主耶和華派遣了我和他的靈。

「我將從父那裡派遣慰助者來，他就是從父而來的真理的靈。他來的時候，將為我做見證。

好讓他們的心受到安慰，在愛中結合在一起，以致得到由悟性的確信不疑而來的一切豐盛，直到真正認識神的奧祕，就是基督——在他裡面隱藏著一切智慧和知識的財寶。

就是神怎樣以聖靈和能力膏立拿撒勒人耶穌，他走遍各地行善，使所有受魔鬼壓制的人痊癒，因為神與他同在。
