In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.

At that time, here is what the man who is called the Root of Jesse will do. He will be like a banner that brings nations together. They will come to him. And the place where he rules will be glorious.

In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples— of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.

In that day the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place.

“ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.”

On that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples. The nations will seek Him, and His resting place will be glorious.

And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself.

A light for revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of thy people Israel.

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judæa in the days of Herod the king, behold, Wise- men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we saw his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Now there were certain Greeks among those that went up to worship at the feast:these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.

So shall they fear the name of Jehovah from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Jehovah driveth.

And it shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy trouble, and from the hard service wherein thou wast made to serve,

Then thou shalt see and be radiant, and thy heart shall thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned unto thee, the wealth of the nations shall come unto thee.

The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith Jehovah of hosts.

Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.

The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

Be it known therefore unto you, that this salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles: they will also hear.

that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:whom not having seen ye love; on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee,to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; For Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her;that ye may suck and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and ye shall suck thereof; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.

And in his name shall the Gentiles hope.

Let the saints exult in glory: Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.For he that is entered into his rest hath himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, that no man fall after the same example of disobedience.For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two- edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.

And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.

and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire,rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed( because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power;that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Let us fear therefore, lest haply, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.
