然后返回拉玛，因为他的家在那里；他也在那里审理以色列，并且在那里为耶和华筑了一座祭坛。

那时，非利士的守军出来，前往米克玛关口。

使者们来到扫罗的基比亚，把这事说给民众听，全体民众就放声大哭。

扫罗和他儿子约拿单，以及留在他们那里的军兵，驻守在本雅明的迦巴，而非利士人在米克玛扎营。

约拿单想要穿过关口到非利士的守军那里，关口这边有一座石峰，那边也有一座石峰：一座叫播薛，另一座叫西尼；

扫罗从以色列中为自己挑选了三千人：两千人跟随扫罗在米克玛和伯特利山，一千人跟随约拿单在本雅明的基比亚。其余的人，扫罗就打发他们各回自己的帐篷。

然后撒母耳回拉玛，扫罗也回自己的家，上扫罗的基比亚去了。
