彼曰、我有智有能、克勝鄰邦、虜其財、得其地、惟自恃其能而為之。

因为他说：“我靠着我手的能力和我的智慧行事，因为我很聪明；我挪移了列国的地界，抢夺了他们积蓄的财宝，并且我像个勇士般使他们的居民全都俯伏下来。

因为亚述王说：“这是我以自己手的能力和自己的智慧所做的，因为我很聪明——我挪移了列国的地界，抢掠了他们的财宝，又像一个壮士使他们的居民臣服。

彼曰、我之所為、乃以己手之力、己心之智、我固聰慧、曾移列國之界、虜其貨財、猶如強者傾覆居位之人、

彼曰、我移列國之界、擄掠其財、誠如有能者、誠如有能者或作我英勇超群使坐國位者卑降、我行此事、惟倚己臂之力、恃己之智慧、因我明哲、

For he says:“‘ By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their kings.

The king of Assyria says,“‘ By my power I have taken over all these nations. I am very wise. I have great understanding. I have wiped out the borders between nations. I’ve taken their treasures. Like a great hero I’ve brought their kings under my control.

For he says:“ By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding; I remove the boundaries of peoples, and plunder their treasures; like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.

He boasts,“ By my own powerful arm I have done this. With my own shrewd wisdom I planned it. I have broken down the defenses of nations and carried off their treasures. I have knocked down their kings like a bull.

For he said: I have done this by my own strength and wisdom, for I am clever. I abolished the borders of nations and plundered their treasures; like a mighty warrior, I subjugated the inhabitants.

For he has said,“ By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this, Because I have understanding; And I removed the boundaries of the peoples And plundered their treasures, And like a powerful man I brought down their inhabitants,

For he hath said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and like a valiant man I have brought down them that sit on thrones:

自謂此非巴比倫大城、我所建造者乎、我以之為國都、顯我能、彰我榮、

以法蓮雖在昆弟之中、最為昌熾、我耶和華必使東風來自曠野、使其泉源立涸、彼之寶器、盡為敵虜、撒馬利亞人獲罪於上帝、故必荒蕪、亡於鋒刃、其嬰孩將相捽而死、其孕婦必刳剔而亡。

以色列族被虜、亞述王使人自巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈末、西法瓦音、至撒馬利亞諸邑、據其地、居其城、

亞述王虜以色列族至亞述、置於坷散河旁之哈臘、哈拔、及米太族諸邑。

彼曰我之牧伯、可儗列王、

迨我遷爾往彼異方、與爾故土相同、有穀有酒、有餅有蜜、葡萄園橄欖囿俱備、使爾永生不死。希西家言爾必見拯於耶和華、爾勿聽焉。

人子、當告推羅王云、主耶和華曰、爾中心驕泰、自謂可匹上帝、其邑在海中、若上帝位、爾雖自謂可匹上帝、終屬凡民、非上帝也。爾自謂智過於但以理、無所隱於汝、以爾智慧、得諸貨財、藏金銀於府庫、巧於貿易、日臻富厚、因而心驕、故主耶和華曰、因爾自謂、可匹上帝、我必率異邦之強暴者至、拔其鋒刃、爾以巧捷所作奇麗之物、彼必毀之、物著光華者、彼必滅之、使爾陷於深淵、殺戮爾身、投於海中。爾被殺之時、豈得自謂可匹上帝、爾既見殺、則屬凡民、非為上帝明矣。

主耶和華曰、埃及王法老、若河中巨鱷、自謂我鑿江河、足供己用、我必罰爾、

獻祭焚香、以敬其網、因所得者多、食之果腹、

比迦在位之時、亞述王滴臘比利斯至、陷以雲、亞伯伯馬迦、雜挪、基特、夏朔、基列、加利利、納大利四境、擄其民人、至於亞述。

人子、昔耶路撒冷遭難之日、推羅之人譏之、曰、吁哉、民出入之所、其邑已破、民必歸余、皆屬我矣。

亞哈士以耶和華殿、及王宮府庫、所有之金銀、饋於亞述王。

曰、爾亞捫人、宜聽我言、主耶和華曰、昔予之聖所被玷、以色列族荒蕪、猶大家盡被俘囚、爾見之則曰吁哉。

恐爾意謂由己力己能、獲此貨財。

何西王九年、亞述陷撒馬利亞、擄以色列族、至亞述地置於坷散河旁之哈臘、哈拔、及米太族諸邑。

爾所侮所欺者為誰、爾白眼而視、疾聲而呼、欲攻誰乎、豈非以色列族之聖者乎。爾遣僕侮耶和華云、我率眾車、已躋山巔、在利巴嫩旁、斫柏香木之高者、松柏之美者、我必造其極處、奪其良田、我鑿井而飲、所經之地、圍其城垣、絕其汲道、

今以色列族之上帝聳動亞述二王、卜及滴臘比利斯之心、俾虜流便伽得二支派、馬拿西支派之半、至哈臘、哈拔、哈喇、及坷散河濱之地、迄今猶在。

爾所侮所欺者為誰、爾白眼而視、疾聲而呼、欲攻誰乎。豈非以色列族之聖者乎。爾遣人侮耶和華云、我率眾軍、已躋山巔、在利巴嫩旁、斫柏香木之高者、松柏之美者、我必造其極處、奪其良田。我在異邦鑿井而飲、所經之地、圍其城垣、絶其汲道。

爾以虛浮之事、妄自誇詡、自謂力猛、足以勝人、

希西家以耶和華殿、與王宮府庫、所有之銀、悉以為饋、

我將徙爾於大馬色外、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。以色列國雄長列邦、其中有名之人、為民所歸、然在郇邑、耽於逸樂、在撒馬利亞山、宴然居處、其禍必不遠矣、可往甲尼至哈末大邑、又至非利士人迦特、徧加巡察、豈有他國、較此國尤尊榮、豈有他境、較爾境尤延袤、
