我除去了你的過犯和罪惡，使它們如雲霧消散。歸向我吧，因為我救贖了你。」

你並沒有花錢買菖蒲獻給我，也沒有用祭物的脂肪滿足我，反而使我因你的罪惡而受累，因你的過犯而煩擾。「我，是我為自己的緣故，除去你的過犯，忘掉你的罪惡。你可以提醒我，你我可以理論，你可以提出理由證明自己的清白。

求你用牛膝草潔淨我的罪，使我乾淨；求你洗淨我，使我比雪更白。

我回答說：「先生，你知道答案。」他便說：「這些都是經過大災難的人，他們用羔羊的血將衣裳洗得純淨潔白。

耶和華對偶像說：「陳明你們的理由。」雅各的王說：「拿出你們的證據吧。」

上帝說：「眾海島啊，要在我面前安靜！讓眾民重新拿出勇力，讓他們前來說話，讓我們一起來理論。

有何神明像你一樣赦免罪惡，饒恕你倖存子民的過犯？你不會永遠發怒，因為你樂於施恩。你必再憐憫我們，將我們的罪惡踐踏在腳下，把我們的一切過犯拋進深海。

保羅每個安息日都到會堂與猶太人和希臘人辯論，勸導他們信主。

我們讚美祂奇妙無比的恩典，這恩典是上帝藉著祂的愛子賜給我們的。我們藉著祂愛子的血蒙救贖，過犯得到赦免，這都是出於祂的洪恩。上帝用各種智慧和聰明把這恩典豐豐富富地賜給我們，

保羅照以往的習慣進入會堂，一連三個安息日引用聖經與當地人討論，

律法是後來頒佈的，使過犯更多地顯出來，只是哪裡的罪越多，哪裡的恩典就顯得越豐富。

現在，你們都要站在耶和華面前，讓我來提醒你們有關耶和華過去曾為你們和你們祖先所做的一切公義作為。

耶和華說：「你們的祖先在我身上找到什麼過錯，以致他們遠離我，去追隨虛妄的神明，使自己變得虛妄呢？

當保羅講到公義、節制和將來的審判時，腓利斯十分恐懼，說：「你先下去吧，改天有機會，我再叫你來。」

群山啊，大地永固的根基啊，你們要聽耶和華的控告！因為耶和華要控告祂的子民，責備以色列人。
