當盥手潔心、滌爾污俗、棄惡歸善、公義是行、受人虐遇者、必加援手、孤子嫠婦、必伸其冤。

當洗滌自潔、於我目前除爾惡行、不復作惡、

Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.

So wash and make yourselves clean. Get your evil actions out of my sight! Stop doing what is wrong!

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil,

Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God.

Seek the LORD while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby!The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the LORD, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

And he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

So get rid of all evil and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.

So I said to him,“ My lord, you know the answer.” Then he said to me,“ These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb!

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self- controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double- minded.

You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image– in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.Do not give the devil an opportunity.The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need.You must let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for the building up of the one in need, that it may give grace to those who hear.

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’

Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good.

Therefore produce fruit that proves your repentance,

“ Therefore I will judge each person according to his conduct, O house of Israel, declares the sovereign LORD. Repent and turn from all your wickedness; then it will not be an obstacle leading to iniquity.Throw away all your sins you have committed and fashion yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why should you die, O house of Israel?

I maintain a pure lifestyle, so I can appear before your altar, O LORD,

Therefore say to the people: The LORD who rules over all says,“ Turn to me,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ and I will turn to you,” says the LORD who rules over all.“ Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the former prophets called out, saying,‘ The LORD who rules over all says,“ Turn now from your evil wickedness,”’ but they would by no means obey me,” says the LORD.

He said through them,‘ Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and stop doing the evil things you are doing. If you do, I will allow you to continue to live here in the land that I gave to you and your ancestors as a lasting possession.

“ Oh people of Jerusalem, purify your hearts from evil so that you may yet be delivered. How long will you continue to harbor up wicked schemes within you?

“ As for you, if you prove faithful, and if you stretch out your hands toward him,if iniquity is in your hand– put it far away, and do not let evil reside in your tents.

Turn away from evil and do what is right! Strive for peace and promote it!

Leave! Leave! Get out of there! Don’t touch anything unclean! Get out of it! Stay pure, you who carry the LORD’s holy items!

Hate what is wrong, love what is right! Promote justice at the city gate! Maybe the LORD, the God who commands armies, will have mercy on those who are left from Joseph.

Turn away from evil! Do what is right! Then you will enjoy lasting security.
