My God will turn his back on his people. They have not obeyed him. So they will wander among other nations.

My God will reject them because they have not listened to him; they shall be wanderers among the nations.

There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.

“ But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears.They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.“‘ When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,’ says the Lord Almighty.‘ I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land they left behind them was so desolate that no one traveled through it. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.’”

If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well- being like the waves of the sea.

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.’ But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.

Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you. They said,“ Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and reform your actions; do not follow other gods to serve them. Then you will live in the land I have given to you and your ancestors.” But you have not paid attention or listened to me.The descendants of Jehonadab son of Rekab have carried out the command their forefather gave them, but these people have not obeyed me.’“ Therefore this is what the Lord God Almighty, the God of Israel, says:‘ Listen! I am going to bring on Judah and on everyone living in Jerusalem every disaster I pronounced against them. I spoke to them, but they did not listen; I called to them, but they did not answer.’”

Whoever remains stiff- necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed— without remedy.

But Micaiah said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, I can tell him only what my God says.”

But I trust in you, Lord; I say,“ You are my God.”

“ But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.“ If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways,

They bowed down to all the starry hosts, and they worshiped Baal.They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire. They practiced divination and sought omens and sold themselves to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence. Only the tribe of Judah was left,and even Judah did not keep the commands of the Lord their God. They followed the practices Israel had introduced.Therefore the Lord rejected all the people of Israel; he afflicted them and gave them into the hands of plunderers, until he thrust them from his presence.

I said I would scatter them and erase their name from human memory,

But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.

And the Lord will strike Israel, so that it will be like a reed swaying in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land that he gave to their ancestors and scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they aroused the Lord’s anger by making Asherah poles.And he will give Israel up because of the sins Jeroboam has committed and has caused Israel to commit.”

Then Isaiah said,“ Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also?

Thomas said to him,“ My Lord and my God!”

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
