拯我出患難之天使、願錫嘏童蒙、當為吾子、為吾祖父亞伯拉罕以撒子孫、使昌熾於地。○約瑟見父以右手按以法蓮首、意有不悅、乃舉父手、欲自以法蓮首、移於馬拿西首、曰、吾父不可、此乃長子、請按右手於其首。父不許、曰、吾子、我知之矣。此子亦將昌大、為一族之祖、惟季必超越於長、其裔必為群族祖。是日以色列為二子祝嘏、曰、斯後以色列族將為人祝曰、願上帝使爾福祉、若以法蓮、馬拿西然。於是立以法蓮於馬拿西之先。○

其榮如牛之首生、其角如兕角、以將抵觸異邦、至於地極、所謂以法蓮之萬人、馬拿西之千人、即此。

推而納之幽暗之地、逐而出之寰區之外。彼之所出藐無遺孤、彼之所居惟存隙地、

約瑟如蔥蘢之樹、植於泉旁、其枝蔓延踰垣。

惡人之人、虛光必昧、燭照不遠、
