主说：“我遇见以色列如葡萄在旷野；我看见你们的列祖如无花果树上春季初熟的果子。他们却来到巴力毗珥专拜那可羞耻的，就成为可憎恶的，与他们所爱的一样。

上帝曰、昔我得以色列族、如曠野遇葡萄、視爾列祖、如初熟之無花果、然彼往巴力比耳、崇拜可惡之物、我於是痛絕之、與所崇之物無異、

主曰、昔我得以色列族、如葡萄在曠野、視爾列祖、如在無花果樹初熟之果、然彼就巴力毘珥、專心崇拜可恥之物、遂為可憎、與所崇之物無異、

“ When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile as the thing they loved.

The Lord says,“ When I first found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert. When I saw your people of long ago, it was like seeing the early fruit on a fig tree. But then they went to Baal Peor. There they gave themselves to that shameful god named Baal. They became as evil as the god they loved.

Like grapes in the wilderness, I found Israel. Like the first fruit on the fig tree in its first season, I saw your fathers. But they came to Baal-peor and consecrated themselves to the thing of shame, and became detestable like the thing they loved.

The Lord says,“ O Israel, when I first found you, it was like finding fresh grapes in the desert. When I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the first ripe figs of the season. But then they deserted me for Baal peor, giving themselves to that shameful idol. Soon they became vile, as vile as the god they worshiped.

I discovered Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your ancestors like the first fruit of the fig tree in its first season. But they went to Baal-peor, consecrated themselves to Shame, and became abhorrent, like the thing they loved.

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your forefathers as the earliest fruit on the fig tree in its first season. But they came to Baal peor and devoted themselves to shame, And they became as detestable as that which they loved.

爾女行姦、爾媳宣淫、我不罰之、緣爾轉就妓女、而偕淫婦獻祭、無知之民、必致傾覆、

猶大歟、爾神之數、等於爾邑、耶路撒冷街衢若干、爾依其數、為可恥之物立壇、焚香於巴力、○

禍哉我也、我如夏果已收、如採葡萄所遺、無穗可食、我心所慕初熟之無花果、亦無有也、

爾往、向耶路撒冷呼曰、耶和華云、我憶爾少年之戀慕、和親之愛情、彼時爾從我於野、未經耕種之地、以色列於耶和華為聖、乃土產之初實、凡噬之者、悉為有罪、災必臨之、耶和華言之矣、○

惟彼違逆、而不聽我、不棄所慕可惡之物、不離埃及之偶像、故彼尚在埃及、我曰、必傾我怒、盡洩我忿於其身、

民亦契於巴力毘珥、食祭死物之品兮、如是而行、致激厥怒、疫癘流行其中兮、

又給以葡萄園、予亞割谷、為冀望之門、在此彼必與我相應、如其幼年之時、出埃及地之日、

以色列族居什亭、淫於摩押女、蓋其女請民至、同祭其神、民遂食其祭品、共拜其神、以色列族附於巴力毘珥、耶和華怒之、諭摩西曰、取彼民長、向日懸於耶和華前、使耶和華釋怒於以色列族、摩西告以色列士師曰、凡附於巴力毘珥者、爾曹各誅其人、摩西與以色列會眾、號哭於會幕門、時、有以色列人攜米甸女、適其同儕、為眾目擊、祭司亞倫孫、以利亞撒子非尼哈見之、遂離會眾、取戟於手、襲彼以色列人之後、入其穹廬、以戟刺其人、及女之腹、疫癘遂止於以色列族中、遘疫而死者、計二萬四千人、○耶和華諭摩西曰、祭司亞倫孫、以利亞撒子非尼哈、以我嫉邪為心、致我釋怒於以色列人、當嫉邪時、不行殲滅、爾其告之、我將賜以平康之約、使彼及裔恆為祭司、蓋為其上帝嫉邪、為以色列民贖罪、與米甸女同戮之以色列人、乃西緬族長、撒路子心利、被誅之女、乃米甸族長蘇珥之女哥斯比、○耶和華諭摩西曰、爾必擾害米甸人而擊之、蓋米甸人擾害爾曹、於奉毘珥、及其姊妹、米甸牧伯女哥斯比之事、詭計誘爾、是女於遘疫時、因奉毘珥之事、亦見殺焉、

耶和華緣巴力毘珥所行之事、乃爾目擊、凡從巴力毘珥者、爾上帝耶和華已滅之於爾中、

至以實各谷、在彼斫葡萄枝、上具葡萄一穗、故其地名曰以實各谷、

焚獻有酵之酬恩祭、以樂獻祭炫示於人、以色列人歟、斯乃爾所悅者、主耶和華言之矣、

彼遇之於荒漠之地、獸嘷之野、護衛之、眷顧之、保之如眸子、

其美飾之殘花、在膏腴山谷之上者、若夏前初熟之無花果、見者觀之、摘於手即啖之、

循尼八子耶羅波安之道、以為細事、乃娶西頓王謁巴力女耶洗別為后、從而服事崇拜巴力、

耶和華曰、以色列免於鋒刃之遺民、在我往錫綏安之際、乃蒙恩寵於曠野、

爾觀其繸、可憶耶和華誡、而遵行之、不致隨爾心目、狥欲如故、

祭祀鬼魔、非是上帝、乃彼素所未識、新造初立之神、爾祖未嘗寅畏者、

當日以耶路巴力名基甸、曰、既毀巴力之壇、任巴力與之爭、○

以色列為孩提時、我愛之、召我子出自埃及、

昔之所行、今日恥之、其效維何、終則死亡、

先知傳虛偽、祭司藉以操權、我民咸以為悅、至終爾將若之何、

我所行於埃及人、並負爾、如鷹以翼負雛、俾歸於我、爾咸睹之、宇內咸屬於我、爾果聽我言、守我約、則爾於列國中、特為我業、亦為祭司之國、成聖之民於我前、其以此言告以色列族、○

我則任其剛愎厥心、依己所謀而行兮、
