I trained them and strengthened their arms, but they plot evil against me.

I brought them up and made them strong. But they make evil plans against me.

Although I trained and strengthened their arms, yet they devise evil against me.

How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down— this leaning wall, this tottering fence? (niv)

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. (niv)
