有人因多遭虐待而歎息、緣被有勢者欺壓而呼號、獨不尋求造人之天主、原文作惟無人云造我之天主安在不念天主能使人夜間歡呼、

爾求而不得、因爾妄求、欲以所求者、縱爾之慾、

以色列妹悖逆之猶大、行此事後、仍不誠心歸我、佯為歸我、此乃主所言、

當告國民與祭司曰、爾歷七十年、五月七月間、禁食哭泣、豈為我禁食乎、

以人所質之衣、鋪於各祭壇側、偃臥其上、在其神廟中、飲勒取之酒、在其神廟中飲勒取之酒或作罰人得酒飲於其神廟中

天主誅之之時、彼始祈禱天主、回心轉意、尋求天主、追想天主為其可倚之主、至上之天主、曾已救贖之、然彼仍以口欺罔天主、以舌向主說誑、向主無恆心、無誠心以守主約、

我僕心暢謳歌、惟爾心憂哀哭、

主曰、此民但以口親近我、以唇尊敬我、而心則遠離我、其敬畏我者、不過守習學世人所傳之誡而已、

如人尚虛浮、以偽妄之言告民曰、我乃先知、我訓爾宜飲清酒醇醪、我乃先知我訓爾宜飲清酒醇醪原文作我向爾述預言論及酒與醇醪則民尊之為師、○

示劍人往於田、斂葡萄壓酒、設筵謳歌、設筵謳歌或作謳歌奏樂入其神之廟、式飲式食、而詛亞比米勒、

其終乃淪亡也、彼以口腹為念、為念原文作為主以己辱為榮、心在世事、

主天主又曰、當是日宮殿歡樂之歌、必變悲哀之歌、宮殿歡樂之歌必變悲哀之歌或作謳歌於宮殿者無不號泣屍骸眾多、棄擲各處、人竟緘默不言、○

主諭我曰、爾再往、愛人所愛之淫婦、以指主雖眷愛以色列人、彼反向他神、喜所獻於偶像之葡萄餅、或作爾再往眷愛一婦婦雖為夫所愛而婦將行淫猶如主眷愛以色列人以色列人仍向他神喜所獻於偶像之葡萄餅

主曰、今我民無故被擄、轄之者、喜樂陶陶、我名終日恆被褻瀆、我在此徒處何為、

噫、富者乎、當哀哭號泣、因苦難將臨爾也、

明日、民夙興、獻火焚祭與平安祭、坐而飲食、起而嬉戲、○

蓋如此之人、不事我主耶穌基督、惟事其口腹、以巧言媚語、誘惑樸實者之心、

撒瑪利亞民背叛其天主、自取罪戾、必亡於鋒刃、其孩提被擲死、其孕婦被刳剔、
