Call on me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor me.”

Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the LORD your God. You have scattered your favors to strangers under every green tree and have not obeyed me. This is the LORD’s declaration.

once the homeowner gets up and shuts the door. Then you will stand outside and knock on the door, saying,‘ Lord, open up for us!’ He will answer you,‘ I don’t know you or where you’re from.’

I long for you in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks you, for when your judgments are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

The glory of the LORD rose up from within the city and stopped on the mountain east of the city.

For what hope does the godless person have when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?Will God hear his cry when distress comes on him?Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times?

The promised curse written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, has been poured out on us because we have sinned against him.He has carried out his words that he spoke against us and against our rulers by bringing on us a disaster that is so great that nothing like what has been done to Jerusalem has ever been done under all of heaven.

so they cried out to the LORD, saying,“ We have sinned against you. We have abandoned our God and worshiped the Baals.”The LORD said to the Israelites,“ When the Egyptians, Amorites, Ammonites, Philistines,Sidonians, Amalekites, and Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to me, did I not deliver you from them?But you have abandoned me and worshiped other gods. when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when trouble and stress overcome you.Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.

When the priests came out of the holy place, the cloud filled the LORD’s temple,and because of the cloud, the priests were not able to continue ministering, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple.Then Solomon said: The LORD said that he would dwell in total darkness.I have indeed built an exalted temple for you, a place for your dwelling forever.

Look, the LORD is leaving his place and coming down to trample the heights of the earth.

Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherub to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the LORD’s glory.

“ This is my resting place forever; I will make my home here because I have desired it.

Gather yourselves together; gather together, undesirable nation,before the decree takes effect and the day passes like chaff, before the burning of the LORD’s anger overtakes you, before the day of the LORD’s anger overtakes you.Seek the LORD, all you humble of the earth, who carry out what he commands.
