“ Though you, Israel, commit adultery, do not let Judah become guilty.“ Do not go to Gilgal; do not go up to Beth Aven. And do not swear,‘ As surely as the Lord lives!’

“ Israel, you are not faithful to me. But I do not want Judah to become guilty too.“ My people, do not go to Gilgal to offer sacrifices. Do not go up to Bethel to worship other gods. When you make a promise, do not say,‘ You can be sure that the Lord is alive.’

Though you play the whore, O Israel, let not Judah become guilty. Enter not into Gilgal, nor go up to Beth-aven, and swear not,“ As the Lord lives.”

“ Though you, Israel, are a prostitute, may Judah not be guilty of such things. Do not join the false worship at Gilgal or Beth aven, and do not take oaths there in the Lord’s name.

Israel, if you act promiscuously, don’t let Judah become guilty! Do not go to Gilgal or make a pilgrimage to Beth-aven, and do not swear an oath: As the LORD lives!

爾其在基比亞鳴笳、在拉瑪吹角、在伯亞文示警曰、便雅憫歟、其顧爾後、

亞文之崇邱、乃以色列之罪、將見毀滅、荊棘蒺藜生於其壇、彼將謂山曰覆我、謂陵曰傾於我上、

撒瑪利亞居民、將因伯亞文之犢而驚惶、庶民為之悲哀、素悅斯犢之祭司戰慄、以其榮去之也、

彼雖指維生之耶和華而誓、猶為妄誓、

以及凡在屋巔、崇拜天象者、並崇拜耶和華、指耶和華而誓、亦指瑪勒堪而誓者、與背耶和華、而不從之者、及不尋求耶和華、而不訪之者、○

人之親屬焚其尸者、攜骸出室、問內室之人曰、尚有人偕爾否、彼曰無有、又曰緘默、勿道耶和華之名、

以色列家歟、主耶和華論爾云、往哉、各事其偶像、惟後必聽從我、不復以禮物及偶像、玷我聖名、

王既籌思、乃作金犢二、告民曰、爾曹上耶路撒冷甚難、以色列人歟、導爾出埃及之神即此、遂置一犢於伯特利、一犢於但、

雅各家、以以色列名而稱、自猶大源而出者、其聽我言、爾指耶和華之名而誓、稱揚以色列之上帝、惟非以誠以義、

我民諮詢於木、藉杖示之、彼為淫心所迷、狥欲離其上帝之制、

僕知主意而不備、不順其意者、見扑必多、惟不知而作當扑之事者、見扑必少、蓋多予之、必多取之、多託之、必多索之、○

當約西亞王時、耶和華諭我曰、悖逆之以色列、其所為者、汝見之乎、彼陟諸高岡、詣諸綠樹、行淫於彼、我曰、彼行此事、後必歸我、惟彼不歸、其詭譎之妹猶大見之矣、悖逆之以色列、因其宣淫、為我所出、與以離書、其詭譎之妹猶大、仍不畏懼、往而行淫、我見之矣、彼輕其淫亂、污衊斯土、狥欲於木石、其詭譎之妹猶大、仍不專誠歸我、惟偽為耳、耶和華言之矣、○耶和華諭我曰、悖逆之以色列、較詭譎之猶大、尚顯其義、

耶和華震怒以色列人、擯於其前、惟遺猶大支派而已、猶大亦不守其上帝耶和華之誡命、乃從以色列人所立之例、

姊名阿荷拉、妹名阿荷利巴、俱歸於我、而生子女、阿荷拉即撒瑪利亞、阿荷利巴即耶路撒冷也、阿荷拉既歸我、乃行淫亂、戀其情人鄰邦亞述族、彼衣紫衣、皆為方伯州牧、少壯可愛、乘馬而至、婦與亞述俊男行淫、以其所戀愛者、及其偶像、自染污衊、當其少年、在埃及行淫、為男玷污、摩撫厥乳、迄今未改、

毋與無實之暗行、寧責之、

以法蓮以欺誑環我、以色列家以詭譎繞我、猶大對於上帝、即信實之聖者、則貳其心、
