I will not punish your daughters when they act promiscuously or your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, for the men themselves go off with prostitutes and make sacrifices with cult prostitutes. People without discernment are doomed.

你们的女儿淫乱，你们的新妇行淫，我却不惩罚她们；因为你们自己离群与娼妓同居，与妓女一同献祭。这无知的民必致倾倒。

我不因你们的女儿行淫或你们的媳妇犯奸淫惩罚她们；因为人自己转去与娼妓同居，与神庙娼妓一同献祭。这无知的百姓必致倾倒。

我卻不因你們女兒的行淫而察罰她們，也不因你們兒媳婦之犯姦淫而懲辦她們；因為宗教領袖們自己也離羣而跟淫婦同居，他們自己也同廟妓行淫而獻祭；無知識的人民準會敗倒的。

爾女行姦、爾媳宣淫、我不罰之、緣爾轉就妓女、而偕淫婦獻祭、無知之民、必致傾覆、

彼與淫婦、同獻祭祀、故其妻女、雖不節不貞、亦不降罰、無道之民、終必淪亡、

爾女不貞、爾媳行淫、我亦不懲罰、蓋彼與妓同居、偕娼獻祭、無知之民、終必淪亡、

“ I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin!

“ I will not punish your daughters when they become prostitutes. I will not judge your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery. After all, the men themselves have sex with sinful women. They offer sacrifices where temple prostitutes earn their living. People who can’t understand will be destroyed!

I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with prostitutes and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin.

But why should I punish them for their prostitution and adultery? For your men are doing the same thing, sinning with whores and shrine prostitutes. O foolish people! You refuse to understand, so you will be destroyed.

“ I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, Nor your brides when they commit adultery; For the men themselves go apart with harlots, And offer sacrifices with a ritual harlot. Therefore people who do not understand will be trampled.

I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go apart with harlots, and they sacrifice with the prostitutes; and the people that doth not understand shall be overthrown.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people[ that] doth not understand shall fall.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery. For the men consort with harlots, they sacrifice with temple prostitutes. It is true:“ A people that lacks understanding will come to ruin!”

I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin.

Hear the word of the Lord, people of Israel, for the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth, no faithful love, and no knowledge of God in the land!

Ephraim is attached to idols; leave him alone!

He also tore down the houses of the male cult prostitutes that were in the Lord’s temple, in which the women were weaving tapestries for Asherah.

There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.

Let whoever is wise understand these things, and whoever is insightful recognize them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

They also built for themselves high places, sacred pillars, and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every green tree;there were even male cult prostitutes in the land. They imitated all the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had dispossessed before the Israelites.

“ No Israelite woman is to be a cult prostitute, and no Israelite man is to be a cult prostitute.

Why do you want more beatings? Why do you keep on rebelling? The whole head is hurt, and the whole heart is sick.

He banished the male cult prostitutes from the land and removed all of the idols that his fathers had made.

Don’t you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh.

Why don’t you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to My word.

Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand.No one reflects, no one has the perception or insight to say,“ I burned half of it in the fire, I also baked bread on its coals, I roasted meat and ate. I will make something detestable with the rest of it, and I will bow down to a block of wood.”He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself, or say,“ Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?”

Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.

They are darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their hearts.

But if you are without discipline— which all receive— then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand everything.

These dogs have fierce appetites; they never have enough. And they are shepherds who have no discernment; all of them turn to their own way, every last one for his own gain.

You will stumble by day; the prophet will also stumble with you by night. And I will destroy your mother.My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from serving as My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons.
