In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety.

「『我要跟他們立平安的約，除去地上的惡獸，讓他們在曠野安居，在叢林安睡。

「『以色列各城邑的居民都要出去撿兵器當柴燒，其中包括大小的盾牌、弓箭、矛槍等，足夠用七年。他們不必到田間拾柴，或到林中伐木，因為有兵器當燃料。他們要搶奪那些搶奪過他們的人，擄掠那些擄掠過他們的人。這是主耶和華說的。

在他掌權的日子，猶大必得拯救，以色列必國泰民安。他將被稱為『耶和華是我們的公義』。」

那時，豺狼和綿羊羔同住，豹子和山羊羔同臥，牛犢和獅子同群，小孩子可以照看牠們。牛與熊一起吃喝，小牛和小熊一起躺臥，獅子像牛一樣吃草。吃奶的嬰孩在毒蛇的洞口玩耍，斷奶的孩子把手伸進蛇洞。在我的整個聖山上，牠們都不傷人、不害物。認識耶和華的人必充滿天下，就像水充滿海洋一樣。

祂必在各國施行審判，為列邦平息紛爭。他們必將刀劍打成犁頭，把矛槍製成鐮刀。國與國不再刀兵相見，人們不用再學習戰事。

你必與田間的石頭立約，野獸必與你和平相處。

豺狼和綿羊必一起吃草，獅子必像牛一樣吃草，蛇必以塵土為食。在我的整個聖山上，牠們都不傷人，不害物。這是耶和華說的。」

祂平息天下的戰爭，祂斷弓、折槍、燒毀盾牌。

到那日，狂妄的人將被挫敗，驕傲的人將遭貶抑；唯獨耶和華將受尊崇。

祂要在各民族中施行審判，為遠方的強國斷定是非。他們要把刀劍鑄成犁頭，把矛槍打成鐮刀。國與國之間不再動刀槍，也不再學習戰爭。人人都安然坐在自己的葡萄樹和無花果樹下，不再擔驚受怕。這是萬軍之耶和華親口說的。

耶和華必做普世的王。到那天，必唯祂獨尊，唯祂的名獨尊。

安居在至高者隱秘處的人，必蒙全能者的蔭庇。我要對耶和華說：「你是我的避難所，我的堡壘，是我所信靠的上帝。」祂必救你脫離獵人的網羅和致命的瘟疫。祂必用祂的羽毛遮蓋你，用祂的雙翼保護你，祂的信實是你的盾牌和壁壘。你必不懼怕黑夜的恐怖，或白日的飛箭，或黑暗中橫行的瘟疫，或正午肆虐的災難。儘管千人仆倒在你左邊，萬人在你右邊，你必安然無恙。你必親眼目睹惡人受懲罰。因為你以至高者耶和華——我的避難所作你的居所，禍患不會臨到你身上，災難不會靠近你的住處。因為祂必命令祂的天使隨時隨地保護你。天使會用手托住你，不讓你的腳碰在石頭上。你必將獅子和毒蛇踩在腳下，你必踐踏猛獅和巨蛇。

到那日，狂妄的人必被挫敗，驕傲的人必遭貶抑，唯獨耶和華受尊崇。

我必剷除以法蓮的戰車，剷除耶路撒冷的戰馬，戰弓必被折斷。祂必向列國宣告和平，祂必統治四海之疆，從幼發拉底河直到地極。

到那天，許多國家都要歸向耶和華，做祂的子民。祂要住在你裡面。那時，你便知道是萬軍之耶和華差遣我到你們這裡來的。

到那天，你們將各自邀請鄰居坐在葡萄樹和無花果樹下。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』」

你們要打糧食打到摘葡萄的時候，摘葡萄摘到播種的時候。你們必豐衣足食，安然居住。「我要使你們得享太平，安枕無憂。我要除掉你們境內的猛獸，也要使你們免遭刀劍之災。

到那日，猶大境內的人必唱這首歌：「我們有一座堅城，耶和華使祂的拯救成為保護我們的城牆和屏障。

那時，猶大必得到拯救，耶路撒冷必安享太平並被稱為『耶和華是我們的義』。

到那天，祂的腳必踏在耶路撒冷東面的橄欖山上，這山必從東至西分成兩半，一半向北移，一半向南移，中間形成極大的山谷。

我的僕人雅各啊，不要害怕；以色列人啊，不要驚駭。這是耶和華說的。因為我必從遠方，從你們流亡之地拯救你們，使你們重歸故土，得享安寧，不受他人驚嚇。

祂讓我安歇在青草地上，領我到幽靜的溪水旁。
