Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

If someone is wise, they will realize that what I’ve said is true. If they have understanding, they will know what it means. The ways of the Lord are right. People who are right with God live the way he wants them to. But those who refuse to obey him trip and fall.

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.

The Lord is righteous within her; He will do no injustice. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He does not fail. But the criminal knows no shame.

Who is the wise person who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land destroyed, laid waste like the desert, so that no one passes through?

Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.

A wise person will hear and increase in learning, And a person of understanding will acquire wise counsel,To understand a proverb and a saying, The words of the wise and their riddles.

I know, Lord, that Your judgments are righteous, And that You have afflicted me in faithfulness.

The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He.

The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

And Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary,“ Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and as a sign to be opposed—

Therefore Pilate said to Him,“ So You are a king?” Jesus answered,“ You say correctly that I am a king. For this purpose I have been born, and for this I have come into the world: to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice.”

Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,just as it is written:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not right.’ Hear now, house of Israel! Is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right?

For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?

So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

Far be it from You to do such a thing, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?”

The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are trustworthy.They are upheld forever and ever; They are performed in truth and uprightness.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

“ Yet your fellow citizens say,‘ The way of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their own way that is not right.When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, then he shall die in it.But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and practices justice and righteousness, he will live by them.Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not right.’ I will judge each of you according to his ways, house of Israel.”

And Jesus answered them,“ To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.

that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders,and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved.For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

And Jesus said,“ For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Behold, a gluttonous man and a heavy drinker, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ And yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.”

The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.

And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil.For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed.

And blessed is anyone who does not take offense at Me.”

And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things;and they got up and drove Him out of the city, and brought Him to the crest of the hill on which their city had been built, so that they could throw Him down from the cliff.

Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way, And the one who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.

It is the Lord of armies whom you are to regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.Then He will become a sanctuary; But to both houses of Israel, He will be a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will be snared and caught.”

They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.

But wrongdoers and sinners together will be broken, And those who abandon the Lord will come to an end.

“ Therefore, listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do evil, And from the Almighty to do wrong.For He repays a person for his work, And lets things happen in correspondence to a man’s behavior.God certainly will not act wickedly, And the Almighty will not pervert justice.

Who says to a king,‘ You worthless one,’ To nobles,‘ You wicked one’;Who shows no partiality to the prominent, Nor regards the rich as above the poor, Since they are all the work of His hands?

This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for unbelievers,“ A stone which the builders rejected, This became the chief cornerstone,”and,“ A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this they were also appointed.

Blessed is the person whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the roads to Zion!
