為我人民的土地、那長着荊棘和蒺藜的！為了歡躍的都市一切娛樂的院落哀哭哦！

由於這事、耶羅波安的家就有了罪，以致永恆主要從地上抹除它、消滅它。

在基比亞吹號角哦！在拉瑪吹號筒哦！要在伯亞文大聲吹，使便雅憫驚惶戰兢！

以色列啊，你雖然行淫，別讓猶大「有罪」哦。不要往吉甲去，不要上伯亞文，也不要指着永活的永恆主來起誓。

我把你們犯罪的東西、就是你們所造的牛犢、用火去燒，把牠砸碎，仔細地磨，直到細如塵土；又把這塵土撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。

神人憑着永恆主的話攻擊那祭壇而喊叫、說：『壇哪，壇哪，永恆主這麼說：「大衛王室必生個兒子、名叫約西亞；他必將邱壇的祭司、就是在你上面燻祭的、宰殺在你上面；人必將人的骨頭燒在你上面。」』

他又將他們的祭司的骸骨燒在他們的祭壇上，而潔淨了猶大和耶路撒冷。又在瑪拿西、以法蓮、西緬、甚至拿弗他利各城、使他們四境的廟宇荒廢。他又拆毁了祭壇，把亞舍拉神木和雕像砸碎成灰，將以色列遍地所有的香壇都砍下來，然後回耶路撒冷去。

這都因為雅各的過犯，以色列家的罪惡。雅各的過犯是甚麼？豈不是撒瑪利亞麼？猶大家的罪惡是甚麼？豈不是耶路撒冷麼？

這一切事既已作完，所有在場的以色列眾人就都出去、到猶大各城市，把崇拜柱子打碎，將亞舍拉神木砍下；又從猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、瑪拿西遍地、將邱壇和祭壇全都拆毁；於是以色列眾人都回本城，各歸自己的地業去。

不但如此，他也將在伯特利的祭壇，和那使以色列人犯了罪的、尼八的兒子耶羅波安、所建築的邱壇，那祭壇和那邱壇約西亞都拆毁，把那邱壇打碎成灰去燒，將亞舍拉神木都燒掉。

以東的宮堡必長棘荊，她的堡壘中必長蒺藜和刺草；它必做野狗的居所，做鴕鳥之出沒處。

他們在各山頂獻祭物，在各岡陵上燻祭，在聖橡樹楊樹篤耨香樹之下獻祭燻祭，因為樹的影兒好；故此你們的女兒就行淫，你們的兒媳婦就犯了姦淫。

因了耶羅波安的罪、就是他自己犯了的、又使以色列人犯了的、永恆主必將以色列人放棄了。』

他們心懷二意，如今是必須擔負罪罰的。永恆主必擰斷他們的祭壇，毁壞他們的崇拜柱子。

拉吉的居民哪，用快馬套車哦；（這是錫安子民犯罪的起點）因為以色列的過犯都發現在你那裏。

撒瑪利亞的居民必因伯亞文的牛犢而恐懼戰兢；拜牛犢的人民必為牛犢而悲哀；其拜偶像的祭司必為牛犢而哀悼；他們必為它的光耀而「快樂！」因為那光耀已流亡去了。

當那些日子、人必求死，決尋不着死；人必切願要死，死卻逃避他們。
