以利亞至民眾前曰、爾曹心持二意、何時乃己、如以主為天主、則從主、如以巴力為天主、則從巴力、民不答一言、

於爾國中、除爾雕刻之偶像、石柱、使爾不復拜己手所作者、

心懷二意者、凡所為之事無定、

淫亂之男女乎、豈不知愛世即惡天主、凡欲與世為友者、即與天主為敵也、

凡在樓巔崇拜天象、又崇拜耶和華、指耶和華而誓、又指瑪勒堪瑪勒堪即摩洛又名米勒公亞捫族之神名而誓、

我知爾之作為、爾不冷不熱、願爾或冷或熱、爾既不冷不熱、惟在冷熱之間、我將吐爾出我口、

必毀伊及地日城之偶像、火焚伊及一切神廟、

一人不能事二主、或惡此愛彼、或重此輕彼、爾不能事天主、亦事瑪門、瑪門即財利之義

又次日夙興、見大袞仍面仆於地、在主之匱前、且大袞之首與二手、斷於門閾之上、惟遺大袞殘體而已、

一人不能事二主、或惡此愛彼、或重此輕彼、爾曹不能事天主、又事瑪們、瑪們譯即財利之義

故天主使其大謬、信從虛偽、使凡不信真理反悅不義者、悉被定罪、○
