爾曹遇此、乃伯特利所使、以爾罪重故也、以色列王、必於昧爽隕沒、

爾在伯特利、多行不義、主必使爾敗北、以色列王忽致殞亡。

爾曹遇此、皆伯特利所使、皆因爾之大惡、以色列王必朝時殞亡、

So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

People of Bethel, that will happen to you. You have committed far too many sins. When the time comes for me to punish you, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.”

Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great evil. At dawn the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off.

You will share that fate, Bethel, because of your great wickedness. When the day of judgment dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

那麼，那善的是叫我死嗎？絕對不是！叫我死的是罪。罪藉着那善的叫我死，為要顯出這真是罪，以致罪藉着誡命更顯出是惡極了。

但現在，耶和華說：「三年之內，按照雇工年數的算法，摩押的榮華必變為羞辱，人口雖曾眾多，剩餘的又少又弱。」

以撒的丘壇必荒涼，以色列的聖所必荒廢；我要起來用刀攻擊耶羅波安的家。」伯特利的祭司亞瑪謝派人到以色列王耶羅波安那裏，說：「阿摩司在以色列家中圖謀背叛你，他所說的一切話，這地不能承擔；因為阿摩司這樣說：『耶羅波安必被刀殺，以色列百姓必被擄，離開本地。』」於是亞瑪謝對阿摩司說：「你這先見哪，要逃到猶大地，在那裏過活，在那裏說預言；卻不要在伯特利再說預言，因為這裏有王的聖所，有王的宮殿。」阿摩司對亞瑪謝說：「我原不是先知，也不是先知的門徒；我是牧人，是修剪桑樹的。耶和華帶領我，叫我不再牧放羊羣，對我說：『你去向我子民以色列說預言。』「現在你要聽耶和華的話。你說：『不要向以色列說預言，也不要向以撒家傳講。』所以耶和華如此說：『你的妻子要在城中作妓女，你的兒女要倒在刀下；你的地必有人用繩子量了瓜分，你自己必死在不潔淨之地；以色列百姓必被擄，離開本地。』」
