夫律既為將來佳事之影、非其真形、故不能以歷年恆獻之祭、使近之者完全、

我知在地之幕若壞、則有由於上帝之室、非手所造、悠久於天、

夫造宇宙及其中萬有之神、乃天地主、不居手造之殿、非若有所需者、受人手之供事、自以生命氣息、及萬物賜眾、

夫在天諸物之像、須以此而潔、但在天之物、當用愈善之祭潔之、蓋基督非人手造之聖所、似真聖所之形狀者、乃入於天、今於上帝前為我儕而顯焉、

曰、我儕嘗聞其言云、此殿乃手所作、我將毀之、三日別建一殿、非手所作者、

夫今之所言、其首要者、即我儕有如是之大祭司、坐於皇皇在天者之右、為聖所及真幕之執事、設此幕者、主也、非人也、

故凡事宜如兄弟、得於上帝之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、為民罪作挽回之祭、

然至上者不居手造之室、如先知所云、

夫道成人身、寓我儕中、充以恩寵真理、我儕見其榮、如天父獨生子之榮焉、

婦曰、我知彌賽亞稱基督者將至、至則以萬事告我儕、

如是基督之為大祭司、亦非自榮、乃上帝語之曰、爾乃我子、今日生爾、於他書亦云、爾永為祭司、依麥基洗德之班、

曰、當來者爾乎、抑他人是望乎、

厥梃不離猶大、秉鈞者之杖、弗去其足間、迨細羅至、民咸歸之、

夫前約有崇事之儀、與斯世之聖所、蓋設有一幕、其前者稱聖所、內有燈几與案、及陳設之餅、二幔之後、其幕稱至聖所、有焚香之金鼎、與徧包以金之約匱、內有貯瑪那之金樽、亞倫萌芽之杖、與約版二、匱上有榮華之基路伯、覆翼贖罪所、此數者姑弗詳言、凡此既備、諸祭司恆入前幕行崇奉之事、其內幕惟大祭司歲一入之、無不以血為己及民之愆而獻焉、聖神明示前幕尚存時、聖所之路猶未顯也、斯乃今時之表式、其所獻之禮與祭、不能使崇事者依良心而得完全、

蓋我之大祭司、非不能體恤我荏弱、乃凡事見試、與我無異、惟無罪耳、

夫此麥基洗德撒冷王也、為至高上帝之祭司、昔遇亞伯拉罕攻殺諸王而旋、則祝之、

昔民在利未人祭司職下受律、若由之而得完全、則何須別興一祭司依麥基洗德之班、而不謂之依亞倫班乎、蓋祭司之職既易、則律亦必易、此言所指者、乃屬他支、從未侍於壇者、我主出自猶大明矣、此支摩西未嘗以祭司職言之、既云別興一祭司、猶麥基洗德之狀、其事更昭然矣、其立也、非依形軀誡命之律、乃依永生之能、有證之者曰、爾永為祭司、依麥基洗德之班、夫前誡因荏弱無益而廢、蓋律無所成全、遂引入愈善之望、我儕由之而近上帝、其立也、非不以誓、他祭司則無誓而立、惟斯則以誓、因諭之者云、主誓不悔、爾永為祭司、如是、則耶穌為愈善之約之中保矣、彼為祭司者固多、因有死而不得恆存、惟此以永存故、其職則不易也、故凡賴之以近上帝者、悉能救之、以其恆生為之籲求也、○夫如是之大祭司、宜乎我儕、乃至聖無惡無污、遠乎罪人、高出諸天、非若彼大祭司每日獻祭、先為己罪、後為民罪、蓋一獻己而已足矣、
