耶穌原文作彼若仍在地、則不得為祭司、蓋在地已有祭司、遵律法獻祭、

他若在地上，必不得为祭司，因为已经有照律法献礼物的祭司。

使彼尚在人世、則將失其所以為司祭矣。何則、世間固已有不少之司祭、依法奉獻禮品者焉。

昔民受律法、即在利未子孫得祭司職之時、若賴此祭司之職、能得成全、何用別設一祭司、循麥基洗德之等次、而不循亞倫之等次乎、又作人若賴利未子孫所得祭司之職能得成全何須別設一祭司循麥基洗德之等次而非循亞倫之等次乎民所受之律法與此祭司之職實有關係祭司之職既易、則律法亦必易、蓋此言所指者、乃屬他支派、從無有人奉事於祭臺者、蓋明明我主由猶大支派出、此支派、摩西未嘗以祭司之職諭之、既云別設一祭司、彷彿麥基洗德、則祭司之職祭司之職或作律法必易、愈明也、

為以色列人作誌、免外族人、非亞倫之子孫、來主前焚香、恐遇可拉與其黨所遭之害、即主託摩西預告彼眾必遭之害、

凡由人間選為大祭司者、皆為人而立、以理崇奉天主之事、使其獻禮物與贖罪之祭、

阻烏西雅王曰、烏西雅歟、焚香於主前、非爾所可、惟亞倫子孫為祭司特立以焚香者方可、爾已犯罪、當出聖所、爾行此事、主天主不使爾得榮、烏西雅怒、手執香爐欲焚香、向祭司震怒時、在主殿中、在焚香臺旁、諸祭司前、額忽患癩、

爾曹當守聖所與祭臺、免以色列人再干主怒、

亞伯有信、獻祭於天主、較該隱為美、故蒙天主嘉其所獻而證其為義、是以雖死仍似有言、

以色列人謂摩西曰、我儕必死、我儕必亡、必俱滅亡、主之幕、凡近之者必死、我儕將盡亡乎、
