故此，他必须在各方面都像他的弟兄们那样，为要在属神的事上成为怜悯人的、忠心的大祭司，好为子民的罪孽献上平息祭。

这样一位圣洁、没有邪恶、毫无玷污、与罪人分开、高过诸天的大祭司，对我们实在是合宜的。他不需要像其他大祭司那样天天献祭：先为自己的罪孽，然后为子民；因为当他把自己献上的时候，就一次性地把这事完成了。律法委任的大祭司都有软弱，但在律法以后，誓言保证的话语所委任的儿子，却永远完全。

仰望信仰的创始者和成终者耶稣。他为了那摆在他前面的喜乐，就轻看羞辱，忍受了十字架，如今坐在神宝座的右边。

而这一位为赎罪孽献上了一个永远的祭物，就在神的右边坐下了，

因你的救恩，他大有荣耀；你又把尊荣和威严赐给他。

勇士啊，当把刀剑在腿上束好，带着你的尊荣和威严！为真理、谦卑和公义的缘故，带着你的威严乘胜前进！愿你的右手向你显明可畏的事！

他们必扬声欢唱，从西边颂扬耶和华的威严；

为要让世人知道你的大能作为，以及你王权威严的荣耀。

我的灵魂哪，你当颂赞耶和华！耶和华我的神哪，你极其伟大，你以尊荣和威严为衣！

耶和华对我主宣告：“你坐在我的右边，等我使你的仇敌作你的脚凳。”

为此，我成了带锁链的特使。请为我祈求，使我能照着应该说的，放胆传道。

从前神到底对哪一位天使说过：“你坐在我的右边，等我把你的敌人放在你的脚下做脚凳”呢？
