惟麥基洗德、非由利未出、而於亞伯拉罕所有者、什一取之、且亞伯拉罕素蒙上帝許、而麥基洗德為之祝嘏、

麥基洗德雖不屬利未之族、猶於亞伯拉罕之物、什取其一、且為蒙應許者祝福、

惟不與若輩同族之麥基德、乃受貢於亞伯漢、且為彼承有恩諾之身祝嘏焉。

This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Melchizedek did not trace his family line from Levi. But he collected a tenth from Abraham. Melchizedek blessed the one who had received the promises.

But this man who does not have his descent from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

But Melchizedek, who was not a descendant of Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham. And Melchizedek placed a blessing upon Abraham, the one who had already received the promises of God.

But one without this lineage collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed the one who had the promises.

but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.

For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

And he blessed him and said:“ Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all.

without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.

You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

“ As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Please say you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that I may live because of you.”

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him:“ Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are— northward, southward, eastward, and westward;for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered.Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”

blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,saying,“ Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises;

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say,“ And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one,“ And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
