What I mean is, our Lord came from the tribe of Judah, and Moses never mentioned priests coming from that tribe.

For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

It is clear that our Lord came from the family line of Judah. Moses said nothing about priests who were from the tribe of Judah.

For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

Nahshon was the son of Amminadab. Amminadab was the son of Admin. Admin was the son of Arni. Arni was the son of Hezron. Hezron was the son of Perez. Perez was the son of Judah.

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor.

The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line,

This is the genealogical record of their ancestor Perez: Perez was the father of Hezron.Hezron was the father of Ram. Ram was the father of Amminadab.Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon.Salmon was the father of Boaz. Boaz was the father of Obed.Obed was the father of Jesse. Jesse was the father of David.

“ My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.

Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah( whose mother was Tamar). Perez was the father of Hezron. Hezron was the father of Ram.Ram was the father of Amminadab. Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon.Salmon was the father of Boaz( whose mother was Rahab). Boaz was the father of Obed( whose mother was Ruth). Obed was the father of Jesse.Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon( whose mother was Bathsheba, the widow of Uriah).Solomon was the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam was the father of Abijah. Abijah was the father of Asa.Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was the father of Jehoram. Jehoram was the father of Uzziah.Uzziah was the father of Jotham. Jotham was the father of Ahaz. Ahaz was the father of Hezekiah.Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh. Manasseh was the father of Amon. Amon was the father of Josiah.Josiah was the father of Jehoiachin and his brothers( born at the time of the exile to Babylon).After the Babylonian exile: Jehoiachin was the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel.Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud. Abiud was the father of Eliakim. Eliakim was the father of Azor.Azor was the father of Zadok. Zadok was the father of Akim. Akim was the father of Eliud.Eliud was the father of Eleazar. Eleazar was the father of Matthan. Matthan was the father of Jacob.Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star.”

Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God’s judgment when you do the same things?

I see him, but not here and now. I perceive him, but far in the distant future. A star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel. It will crush the heads of Moab’s people, cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth.

Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me?

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

“ Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her.“ Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied,“ and I don’t know where they have put him.”

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ

The law of the Lord says,“ If a woman’s first child is a boy, he must be dedicated to the Lord.”So they offered the sacrifice required in the law of the Lord—“ either a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon himand had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required,Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,“ Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace, as you have promised.I have seen your salvation,which you have prepared for all people.He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!”Jesus’ parents were amazed at what was being said about him.

“ For the time is coming,” says the Lord,“ when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land.And this will be his name:‘ The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety.

The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah( though Er and Onan had died in the land of Canaan). The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
