For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

蓋地既霑屢降之雨、而生百蔬、適耕者之用、則受祝於上帝、

譬如土壤、時雨潤之、百物生之、農夫利之、上帝培之、

譬諸地土、屢得雨潤而生百物、供耕者之用、則天主必降福於斯地、

譬如地土、甘霖時降、飽受滋潤、而產百穀、有益於耕耘之人、則天主福焉。

Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.

Some land drinks the rain that falls on it. It produces a crop that is useful to those who farm the land. That land receives God’s blessing.

For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.

When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a good crop for the farmer, it has God’s blessing.

For the ground that drinks the rain that often falls on it and that produces vegetation useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God.

For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and produces vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God;

For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;

For ground that has drunk the rain that has often fallen on it and that produces vegetation useful to those it is cultivated for receives a blessing from God.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for[ it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation,[ which] sing among the branches.He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first[ month].And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God,[ which] is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.They drop[ upon] the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper[ in the thing] whereto I sent it.For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap[ their] hands.Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign[ that] shall not be cut off.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son[ is] as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:

And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves[ with him].

Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that[ there shall] not[ be room] enough[ to receive it].
