并尝过神善道的滋味、觉悟来世权能的人，

尝过上帝之道的甘美，领悟到永世的权能，

并且尝过神美善的道和来世的权能的人，

尝过神美善的话语和将要来临之世代的权能，

並嘗過神善道的滋味、覺悟來世權能的人，

嚐過上帝之道的甘美，領悟到永世的權能，

並且嘗過神美善的道和來世的權能的人，

嘗過上帝之話語多麼美好，又嘗過來世之能力，

嘗過神美善的話語和將要來臨之世代的權能，

且承上帝嘉言、及來世之權能、

知上帝至理、季世有妙用、

嘗天主善道之味、又覺悟來世之權能、

曾悟天主聖道之盡善盡美、與夫新興時代之偉大、

who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age

They have tasted the good things of God’s word. They have tasted the powers of the age to come.

And those on the rock are they who, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

For not unto angels did he subject the world to come, whereof we speak.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first.

And these in like manner are they that are sown upon the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, straightway receive it with joy;and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway they stumble.
