He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness.

Some people have gone astray without knowing it. He is able to deal gently with them. He can do that because he himself is weak.

He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness.

And he is able to deal gently with ignorant and wayward people because he himself is subject to the same weaknesses.

He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he is also clothed with weakness.

But he said to me,“ My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me.Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.

and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.

But you know it was because of a physical illness that I first proclaimed the gospel to you,

Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you, that you have brought on them so great a sin?”Aaron said,“ Do not let your anger burn hot, my lord; you know these people, that they tend to evil.They said to me,‘ Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this fellow Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him.’So I said to them,‘ Whoever has gold, break it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out.”

Then Moses and Aaron gathered the community together in front of the rock, and he said to them,“ Listen, you rebels, must we bring water out of this rock for you?”Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron,“ Because you did not trust me enough to show me as holy before the Israelites, therefore you will not bring this community into the land I have given them.”

“‘ If you sin unintentionally and do not observe all these commandments that the LORD has spoken to Moses–all that the LORD has commanded you by the authority of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses and continuing through your future generations–then if anything is done unintentionally without the knowledge of the community, the whole community must prepare one young bull for a burnt offering– for a pleasing aroma to the LORD– along with its grain offering and its customary drink offering, and one male goat for a purification offering.And the priest is to make atonement for the whole community of the Israelites, and they will be forgiven, because it was unintentional and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD, and their purification offering before the LORD, for their unintentional offense.And the whole community of the Israelites and the resident foreigner who lives among them will be forgiven, since all the people were involved in the unintentional offense.“‘ If any person sins unintentionally, then he must bring a yearling female goat for a purification offering.And the priest must make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally– when he sins unintentionally before the LORD– to make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.You must have one law for the person who sins unintentionally, both for the native-born among the Israelites and for the resident foreigner who lives among them.

On behalf of such an individual I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,

They have quickly turned aside from the way that I commanded them– they have made for themselves a molten calf and have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and said,‘ These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up from the land of Egypt.’”

So Aaron said to them,“ Break off the gold earrings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.”So all the people broke off the gold earrings that were on their ears and brought them to Aaron.He accepted the gold from them, fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molten calf. Then they said,“ These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it, and Aaron made a proclamation and said,“ Tomorrow will be a feast to the LORD.”

Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman he had married( for he had married an Ethiopian woman).They said,“ Has the LORD only spoken through Moses? Has he not also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard it.( Now the man Moses was very humble, more so than any man on the face of the earth.)The LORD spoke immediately to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam:“ The three of you come to the tent of meeting.” So the three of them went.And the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; he then called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.The LORD said,“ Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision; I will speak with him in a dream.My servant Moses is not like this; he is faithful in all my house.With him I will speak face to face, openly, and not in riddles; and he will see the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he departed.

But they did not obey their leaders. Instead they prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned aside from the path their ancestors had walked. Their ancestors had obeyed the LORD’s commands, but they did not.

but I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Turn aside from the way, stray off the path. Remove from our presence the Holy One of Israel.”

If I must boast, I will boast about the things that show my weakness.
