蓋以時而論、爾當為師、然尚需人以上帝聖詔小學之始教導爾曹、且為需乳不需粒食者、

爾曹學道已久、當為他人之師、但今復需人以天主道之開端教爾、爾成為需乳不需堅實之食者、

以資歷論、爾等此時應可為人師矣；而在實際、仍須人教爾等以淺近之教理、一如乳臭兒之未可遽進以乾糧也。

如孩提初生索乳、宜求真道、使爾漸長、

基督道之始、我姑舍是、但練達是務、不復言創基、若悔改妄行、信從上帝、

兄弟乎、余教爾曹、非感聖神之人、乃狥私欲之人、以爾曹雖宗基督、渺如孩提、我哺爾以乳、不以糧者、因素未能食、今亦未能也、爾曹尚從欲、有媢嫉、爭鬥、釁隙、豈非從欲而狥人意乎、

凡需乳哺者乃赤子、不識義理、

彼曰、爾之教訓、傳於何人、我豈斷乳之赤子乎。乃爾教我言重語叠、諄諄不已、分疏句讀、詳以告我、
