For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.

The good news was announced to our people of long ago. It has also been preached to us. The message they heard didn’t have any value for them. That’s because they didn’t share the faith of those who obeyed.

For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.

我們也為這緣故不住感謝神，因為你們接受了我們所傳的神的道，不認為這是人的道，而認為這確實是神的道。這道也運行在你們信的人裡面。

但並不是所有的人都順從福音，因為以賽亞說：“主啊，我們所傳的，有誰信呢？”可見信心是從所聽的道來的，所聽的道是藉著基督的話來的。

沒有信，就不能得到神的喜悅；因為來到神面前的人，必須信神存在，並且信他會賞賜那些尋求他的人。

因為操練身體，益處還少；唯獨操練敬虔，凡事有益，享有今生和來世的應許。

因為我們的福音傳到你們那裡，不單是藉著言語，也是藉著權能，藉著聖靈和充足的信心。為了你們的緣故，我們在你們中間為人怎樣，這是你們知道的。

你們知道，我第一次傳福音給你們，是因為身體有病。

弟兄們，你們要小心，免得你們中間有人存著邪惡、不信的心，以致離棄了永活的神；

神先給你們興起他的僕人，差他來祝福你們，使你們各人回轉，離開邪惡。”

所以你們應當擺脫一切污穢和所有的邪惡，以溫柔的心領受神栽種的道；這道能救你們的靈魂。

你若遵行律法，割禮固然有益處；但你若是犯律法的，你的割禮就不是割禮了。

既然這安息還留著要讓一些人進去，但那些以前聽過福音的人，因為不順從不得進去；

我若把一切所有的分給人，又捨己身被人焚燒，卻沒有愛，對我仍然毫無益處。

保羅和巴拿巴卻放膽說：“神的道，先講給你們聽，是應該的。但因為你們棄絕這道，斷定自己不配得永生，所以我們現在就轉向外族人去了。

他又向誰起誓說，他們絕對不可以進入他的安息呢？不就是向那些不順從的人嗎？這樣看來，他們不能進入安息，是因為不信的緣故。

他們蒙了啟示，為這些事效力，並不是為自己，而是為你們。現在，藉著傳福音給你們的人，靠著從天上差來的聖靈，把這些事傳給了你們；甚至天使也很想詳細察看這些事。

叫所有不信真理倒喜愛不義的人，都被定罪。主所愛的弟兄們，我們應該常常為你們感謝神，因為他從起初就揀選了你們，藉著聖靈成聖的工作，和你們對真道的信心，使你們可以得救。

聖經既然預先看見神要使外族人因信稱義，就預先把好信息傳給亞伯拉罕：“萬國都必因你得福。”
