Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.

斯輩口中承認天主、而其行為實否認天主、悖逆不順、自絕於善、可惡莫甚焉。

自施洗如望之日、以迄於今、天國可以勉彊力行而致也；凡勇猛精進、發揚蹈厲者、必得襲而取之。

兄弟其慎之哉！莫使爾中有一人存執拗不信之心、自絕於永生之主宰也。

惟願爾中人人皆能具此熱情、始終不渝、以成全望德。

勿為浮言所惑、蓋天主義怒之臨於悖逆諸子、正為此耳。

亞基帕王乎、予於天示靈驗、不敢不敬；乃毅然以傳道為己任、

與世俗同流合污、聽命於塵氛中之魔王。魔王者、即至今猶在悖逆心中活動之邪神也。

而天主所以譴怒其悖逆之子者、正為此等事耳。

故望兄弟益加奮勉、孳孳為善、務使爾之聖召恩選、根深秪固、確乎不拔。爾能遵此而行、則永無失足之虞；且吾主耶穌基督永久之天國、當為爾洞開厥門、沛然莫之能阻。

適如曩日爾曹未順天主、今乃緣義塞人之不順、而蒙矜恤；若輩今雖未順、亦當緣爾曹之蒙矜恤、而蒙矜恤也。蓋天主將一切世人歸納於不順之中者、亦欲示一切世人以矜恤云耳。

勸爾勿務易腐之糧、宜務永生之糧、此糧惟受天主聖父印證之人子、能賜於爾。』

是故吾親愛之同道乎、爾其戰戰兢兢、力行弗懈、以保爾終。素稔爾等從善如流；當予與爾等偕時固已如此、今予遠在他方、爾等更宜小心翼翼、服膺聖教。

蓋吾人從前亦昏昧悖逆、徬徨岐途、縱情恣慾、險狠媢嫉；己實可惡、而轉以惡人。

務宜勉入窄門；華門廣道、引入淪亡、而人多趨之；

律法與先知至如望而集其成、自如望而後、天主之國已宣揚於世。惟勉強力行者、始克進焉。
