And against whom was God provoked for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?

神四十年之久，又厌烦谁呢？岂不是那些犯罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

上帝向谁发怒四十年之久呢？岂不是那些犯罪而陈尸在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久惹上帝发怒的是谁呢？不就是那些犯罪作恶并倒毙在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久，神向谁发怒呢？不就是向那些犯了罪陈尸旷野的人吗？

神又向谁发怒了四十年之久呢？难道不是那些犯了罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久惹上帝發怒的是誰呢？不就是那些犯罪作惡並倒斃在曠野的人嗎？

四十年之久，神向誰發怒呢？不就是向那些犯了罪陳屍曠野的人嗎？

上帝四十年厭惡誰呢？豈不是那些犯了罪、屍首倒在曠野的人麼？

神又向誰發怒了四十年之久呢？難道不是那些犯了罪、屍首倒在曠野的人嗎？

又四十年彼所不悅者誰耶、非干罰而屍仆於野者乎、

上帝於四十載中憾誰、非犯罪而暴骨於野者乎、

天主於四十年間怒誰、非犯罪而屍仆於曠野者乎、

天主所謂：「厭惡斯代、垂四十春」者、又誰耶？非多行不義、卒至暴屍曠野者乎？

And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness?

Who was God angry with for 40 years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned? They died in the desert.

And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness?

With whom was God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?

Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?

And with whom was he displeased forty years? was it not with them that sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And who was He provoked with for 40 years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

But with whom was he grieved forty years?[ was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

Your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness– all those of you who were numbered, according to your full number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me.

Now I desire to remind you( even though you have been fully informed of these facts once for all) that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, later destroyed those who did not believe.

Tell your daughters and neighbors,‘ The LORD says,“ The dead bodies of people will lie scattered everywhere like manure scattered on a field. They will lie scattered on the ground like grain that has been cut down but has not been gathered.”’”

But as for you, your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness,and your children will wander in the wilderness forty years and suffer for your unfaithfulness, until your dead bodies lie finished in the wilderness.

For all the people have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have tempted me now these ten times, and have not obeyed me,

But there was not a man among these who had been among those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they numbered the Israelites in the wilderness of Sinai.For the LORD had said of them,“ They will surely die in the wilderness.” And there was not left a single man of them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Indeed, it was the very hand of the LORD that eliminated them from within the camp until they were all gone.So it was that after all the military men had been eliminated from the community,

For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea,and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,and all ate the same spiritual food,and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were all drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were cut down in the wilderness.These things happened as examples for us, so that we will not crave evil things as they did.So do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written,“ The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and twenty- three thousand died in a single day.And let us not put Christ to the test, as some of them did, and were destroyed by snakes.And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel.These things happened to them as examples and were written for our instruction, on whom the ends of the ages have come.So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall.No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.
